Regulating the temp has a learning curve but nothing out of the ordinary for an older home. The Host was very helpful and communicated well with keeping the place cool in the warmer temps. Definitely not a deal breaker.

There were a couple of unfortunate events. Front door was hard to close, the knob ended up snapping when I tried closing the door. I did contact the owner as soon as it happened. When arriving to the home, there was moldy smell. The air conditioner shut down our 3rd day, we had no cooling for a day and through the night. Salt Lake City temps reached 99-100 degrees that week, resulting in a bloody nose the night we didn’t have an A/C. The owner is charging us for new beddings, which is unfortunate due to what had happened to the A/C unit. The BBQ grill was one of the amenities listed, there was a leak on the main valve, luckily my husband caught it before we decided to use to. We are being charged $114 for bedding, I think we could’ve gotten a partial refund for our troubles.
USThe "Spicy Swedish Cottage" had so much eclectic "personality" which made it so fun and interesting!! It was super clean, well-stocked, comfortable, and had thoughtful extras. And the hosts were wonderful to work with!!!! We would definitely stay here again if we need Salt Lake City accommodations in the future!!
For some people who are used to a more generic environment, they might be a bit thrown by this unique "spicy" cottage, but we thought the quirkiness was awesomely charming!!! Also, this was not at all a problem for us, but if you had rambunctious little kids, you would want to move some breakables up out of the reach of young hands.

USEverything! Charming host, spotless, very comfortable, large and pleasant backyard. Washer and dryer always a bonus, the capper was the spacious garage.
Note: on a very busy street. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper like me.
USThe location was near family which was great for us. There is a nice coffee/sandwich shop nearly across the street. Two grocery stores are nearby (short driving distance). A great Italian restaurant and breakfast spot were down the street, within walking distance. The upstairs bedrooms were relatively quiet, even though the house is on a busy street. The beds were comfortable.

The large bed downstairs tilted a little towards the headboard.
USThe house worked wonderfully for our group of three adults. The house is filled with interesting decor, reflecting the heritages of the owners. Everything was very comfortable and well appointed. And the owners are very responsive.

USClose to all the ski resorts. Very clean and comfortable, new mattresses and towels, great water pressure, loved the decorations. Hosts were very kind and responsive. Would stay here again!
