Cafe Sabang Guest House

Nice garden, with a restaurant right on site with good pizza when they are open. Parking for scooter on site.

The bathroom was a bit lacking compared to others with no bidet, or flush. Towels were not cotton, and the fan was not big enough for proper air flow or noise control. No bug net. But spacious and secure, and clean. The next door tenants were a very large group in a room made for half or less # of people. So with little sound proofing it was very loud! But the owner did give rebate for this inconvenience.

The breakfast and pizza for dinner were great. We also booked river tour through the guest house which was reasonably priced and very easy. The room and bathroom were basic but comfortable

The hotel is very pretty but the rooms are very basic. Staff was very nice.

Loved our stay and meals here! This is a great guesthouse if you are looking for somewhere relaxed - the basic rooms consist of a bed, shelves, and fan. The windows are screened in. There is a shared washroom, cold shower. Also on the property is a duplex, where the rooms have a private bathroom, balcony, and share a kitchen. No wifi. The family who own Cafe Sabang Guesthouse are very helpful and kind. My children loved staying here - there were puppies to see, necklaces to make, and many edible fruits and flowers growing around the property. We ate breakfast at the cafe each morning and had delicious pizza one evening. Would highly recommend eating here! Loved this guesthouse and would stay again!

A few comforts to note: -No wifi, if that’s important to you. -Cold showers only.

The kubo feeling

The place is really relaxed, nice rural style accommodation. The hosts were friendly and let us check-in earlier. The room had a shared kitchen, which was well-equipped.

At early check-in they promised a cleaning, which didn't happen. Their transfers and tours are quite expensive and we had 2 very unreliable transfers booked through them. Wifi would be nice to have.

The perfect stay - great value, delicious food, lovely hosts, and great room.

We enjoyed being immersed in Sabang village away from the big resorts. The friendly staff made sure we enjoyed our stay and helped us organise tours & activities. The facilities are very basic but that’s all part of the experience!

Bed was comfy enough, staff were very nice, pizza was fantastic (if perhaps a little pricey), breakfast also very good.

The main issue was that the listing said there would be mosquito nets but there weren't any, and the rooms weren't sealed. They burnt loads of mosquito coils, but really, just put in the nets! Taking a shower was a real challenge - the one close to the room was right over the toilet, and no way to keep your things dry in there. The ones downstairs were far away, also difficult to use, and everything was pretty dirty in there.

+ Friendly, welcoming, little v basic hut in the middle of greenery. Have your own little terrace, basic bathroom, kitchen shared with another room - we used kettle for coffee. Excellent breakfast with french press (for 300P) - No wifi. No mosquito net. No hot water or flush toilet. Noisy neighbours of property - were woken every morning by radio blasting from 6:30am.
