Renovated Apartment with Small Garden in Ajuda

This was by far the worst apartment we have ever stayed in. Upon arrival we immediately noticed mold on the walls and large damp stains, and there was a horrible smell throughout the place. The bedding was filthy, with hair and stains clearly visible, and the floor was dirty as well. To make matters worse, there were even cockroaches. When we asked the owner for clean bedding, since the provided sheets were unusable, he refused to give us proper replacements and was completely unhelpful. We ended up leaving early because the mold and dampness were unsafe for our health. We strongly advise against staying at this place.

Está renovado y es bonito, cuando llegamos estaba muy limpio.

La humedad era muchísima, había un atasco en el baño que nos duró toda la estancia y fue a peor según nos duchábamos.

L’appartamento é molto umido, non circola aria. molte osservazioni da fare. In primo luogo: ‘appartamento con piccolo giardino’, ma in realtà c’è una corte interna CONDOMINIALE E AL DI SOPRA dell’appartamento, perché anche se non è scritto, ll’alloggio si trova sotto il livello della strada. Per raggiungerlo bisogna fare una decina di gradini (di notteal buio…non c’è illuminazione e con bagagli magari, come è successo a me) Ma il grande problema è l’umidità. Ho trovato un umidificatore acceso, che ha aiutato un po’, però non c’è facilmente scambio d’aria nei locali, la stanza migliore è la camera da letto che ha una finestra, seppure non direttamente all’aperto. Non sono riuscita a far funzionare i fuochi a induzione della cucina.

De slaapkamer en badkamer waren aangenaam: netjes, schoon en voorzien van goede matrassen. Ook de omgeving was rustig, met weinig geluidsoverlast.

Wat je op foto's niet kunt zien, maar wat me meteen opviel bij aankomst in het appartement, was een doordringende geur van vocht. Die werd enigszins gemaskeerd met geurstokjes, maar dat maakte het net onaangenamer. Bij nader inzien bleken er ook duidelijke vochtplekken in de muren te zitten. In de keuken kwam er bij het openen van de kasten een overweldigende, misselijkmakende vochtgeur vrij. Daarnaast vond ik het storend dat de ramen nauwelijks verduisterd konden worden. Zo was er bijvoorbeeld geen gordijn voor de glazen deur van het appartement, die rechtstreeks uitgaf op de woonkamer. Gelukkig had de slaapkamer wel twee luikjes die ik ’s nachts kon sluiten om het donker te maken.

Ótima localização e bom custo benefício. o Apartamento é uma graça e o anfitrião muito disponível. Tudo bem organizado, com todos os utensílios para uma estadia confortável. Chuveiro e banho delícia, bem quentinho.

Nada muito relevante. Por ter pouca luz solar direta, tem um cheiro mais forte assim que entra, mas se dissipa após ventilação. O apartamento conta com ventilador e desumidificador que também ajuda.

Spacious one bedroom apartment with a small outdoor area. The apartment is new/renovated as per the photos and has all the essentials for a short stay. Washing machine and oven are a plus. Communication via booking was good and check-in/out smooth. The apartment is pet friendly, we travelled with our medium size dog. Wi-Fi connection was good/reliable in the living room and kitchen and the desk is convenient if you need to get some work done. We stayed in October and it was starting to get a bit cooler but the apartment layout is a good option for hot summer days.

The boiler is a bit small so it is better to space showers out to ensure that the water does not start running cold for the second shower. There are no cooking condiments at all in the kitchen. Patchy/weak Wi-Fi in the bedroom. Limited natural light given that the apartment is on a lower ground floor.

The place is beautiful and the old thick walls offer a great protection from the heat outside. The apartment is spacious, everything was clean and the gadgets and equipment were working well. It is a silent place to stay, and it has public transport to take you to more turistic hotspots in different parts of Lisbon.

The communication with the host could be improved regarding their availability to hand in the keys. It all worked out well because we could adjust our schedule, but it was a bit last minute considering that we had many hours of traveling to get there. Internet information could be more readily available in the apartment. The two single beds could be more easily put together to make a double bed.
