Cuilreigh, North Connel

Made very welcome. Fresh flowers. Fruit bowl. Milk in the fridge. Owner called in to make sure everything was ok. Link to local information was provided. Nothing was too much trouble.

The fact we had to leave!

From Key Collection to being welcomed with milk in the fridge and wonderful fruit bowl, nothing to much, we contacted Calum with regards to heating and message back instantly, highly recommend this cottage, we liked it that much we are going back next May, it's in a good location for base with lots to do, The cottage were lovely clean with fresh crisp linen, when we come again in may we are certainly going to take calum up on the picnic basket they offer, the peacocks roaming the garden each morning were delight to see and the owl that visited in the trees across the way each night were fantastic, the cottage is very well equipped.

This is hard because there is nothing we didn't dislike anything, the only thing I would say is i took my mum who is disabled which if there were hand rail on side going up steps at front slippery when wet for somebody on crutches, with my mum struggling with her knees she found the sofa a little low, so had to use a chair out of the kitchen, which did become little uncomfortable after while, so I enjoyed the sofa to myself of course with my mum and dad struggling to get off it with their aging knees. CANT FAULT THE PLACE AT ALL!!

Lovely clean comfortable accommodation with everything required for our stay. The host even put beautiful flowers, fruit, milk and teabags sugar etc for our arrival in the house. Such a nice welcome and was really appreciated.

Nothing really. The sofa wasn’t that comfortable but other than that the accommodation was perfect. Oh the addition of a wee nest of tables in the living room would be very useful.

We were self catering but the cottage had everything we needed...and more!!

Great house and location, house was a bigger than pictures showed which was great. Great communication and host was very helpful.

Beautiful cottage, in a great area. Handy for beach walks and Oban only 5 miles away. Quiet,clean and comfortable. Host fantastic.Short walk to hotel/pub with beautiful views of Connell, good food and drink. Had fantastic weather! Seen seals at the beach,great for bird watching too. Sad to leave.

House was spotless and very well presented, it is also a lot bigger than the picture suggest. The host contacted us in advance of our travel to confirm bedroom requirements (twin or super king - get the super king it is huge!). They also met us on arrival to hand over the key and give us a quick tour. The house and bed was very comfortable and we slept well all week. Very little traffic going past property and wouldn't know there was a haulage firm behind the house. Very peaceful stay in beautiful location but with great access to other areas across the highlands - we were able to visit Oban, Glencoe, Fort William, Glenfinnan and even caught a ferry over to the isle of Mull (to name a few!). We particularly loved the large kitchen / dining room for cooking and eating together and the bathroom felt very luxurious. The host had left fresh fruit and flowers, which was a really nice touch too.

Nothing we did not enjoy about the property but worth noting if you are travelling into Oban there is only one main road in/out and there was unfortunately a terrible accident during our stay which closed the main road and caused heavy backlog of traffic on the only other single track road - factor in more time to your journey. The host did text us to warn of this issue at the time but we had already left to catch the ferry.
