ANBU RAMANA Guest House

This guest house is behind to Bangalore bus stand during full moon days. The room was spacious and well-appointed with a comfortable bed, medium quality bedsheets, and AC attached to Bed room. The hosts made it feel cozy and welcoming. The room was cleaned and well maintained.

Parking: Street parking is not allowed during full moon day as majority of traffic goes from this route. Midnight around 2am traffic police came and knocked our door to remove the car adjacent to hotel room. You have to move your car to Bangalore Bus Stand few hundred meters from this place.

This two-room space is on the ground floor and tucked a bit away from the main Perumbakam road. So it feels like a cave you can hide in where you can hide from the heat and it is quieter than the rooms that turn towards the street. The interior style is classical Indian, with nice blankets and furniture, and the madras on the bed is really good. The rooms are and feel clean. I got a few good night's sleep here. I like Sathya Cafe on the opposite side and other close restaurants nearby. And I like that the walking distance to Ramana Ashram is fairly short and if I walk in the opposite direction it becomes really quiet. I like Ashok and his sister Raji, they are both very helpful with whatever I needed during the stay.

The showerhead itself has cold water. But there is also a heater in the shower and the hot water from that pours down into a bucket, which you can throw on top of yourself in a classical Indian style. This is to be expected in many places.

Mr Ashok is quite helpful ,he even responded on time from the date of booking and guided us. With his support our stay at Arunachalam is memorable. Thank you Ashok
