Ballycastle 7A Diamond 2 bedroom apartment

We enjoyed the stay in the apartment and had wonderful meals at home - thanks to its location and the well-equipped kitchen. It was 2-min walk to the supermarket COOP and there was a very convenient neighbourhood.

The location was perfect for what we needed it for. Joan was also so helpful. We were staying for a family funeral and Joan kindly sorted us a taxi number and said if we needed anything else, to let her know. Beds were super comfy and although we didn't need to use anything other than the kettle to make a cup of coffee, there is everything you need. Will definitely be using this apartment for our base when coming to see our family again.

It was immaculately clean and all amenities provided. It was very central and the little restaurant nearby , The Cellar, did great fish and seafood. The owner kept in touch and left a note to apologise if there were bird droppings outside as although she cleans,she must wait until the migrating birds leave their nests under the eaves. A nice touch and it was great to see the nests.

Parking a slight issue though not insurmountable. Didn’t risk parking in Co-op straight outside in case someone checked. Parked in adjacent street.

The host responded well,we have echanged no.of messages via booking.com prior to the arrival.We have collected the keys from the key code at the door so no hassle.

The internet wasnt working very well thus Netflix was very iffy and no ordinary TV channels. The actual broadband router is covering the whole building and placed under the apartment in the beauty parlour so no wonder the Internet is not gteat.Too many users plus needs a strengtenging signal device installed. Since the reception in Ballycastle is rather bad we couldn't connect via our own data either.

Nothing at all

The property was clean and tidy.The location was close to shops, restaurants and beach.

Very easy to collect keys from lockbox. Apartment beautiful. Very clean, modern and comfortable. Joan was a super host and so helpful

Lovely decor and spotless. Nice bed linens and towels. Living area whilst on the small side- worked well enough for 4 adults. We did move one of the couches to a different wall - it made the room more conducive to general chitchat…. Particularly as there was no Wi-Fi or television access at the time.

Needs the following… decent cutlery and pan/ saucepans … what is there is cheap and poor quality. Other kitchen appliances are of excellent quality and good choice. Needs a shower mat (s)- shower floor gets very slippy after 4 showers- no ventilation in shower room. Need’s hand towels for bathrooms. Owner whom we met on the last day - was very rude and not someone that I (who has worked in customer service for my entire career in the financial services) would like to deal with again.She accused us of having the heating on … despite the fact that access to the heating panel was behind a locked door!!! She knew there was no Wi-Fi or tv access before our arrival but neglected to mention it ,,,,
