Notting Hill Guest Flat

Easy to get around from Shepherd’s Bush to many of the main sights. Big enough for a family. Nice that Westfield was literally right around the corner.

Location: the area is not really somewhere you feel safe to wander around in the evenings with kids, so we stayed in after dark. Cleanliness: the flat was crusty. The floors weren’t cleaned properly. We found tissue, bottle and lighter under the bed. The couch that was made up for our son who didn’t accompany us after all, was covered with an old blanket as a sheet on the one half that had a huge spot on it. Walls, Skirting boards, and kitchen cupboards had spots that could be cleaned. Maintenance: the paint was peeling off the ceiling over the bed where there was a water damage complained about in one of the reviews. One of the mattresses was new, but the other had springs that dug into your back. Shower holder is very, very lose. Water was either too hot at times, or there was no hot water. Chairs in the living room are very wobbly and need to be tightened. We bought our own batteries for the telly which was not set up and new sponges to swap out the nasty looking one in the kitchen. We ran out of warm water on our last day and ended up having to take cold showers before our departure. And the power went out on another. It was fixed by the time we got home. Coffee machine did not work and the fridge/freezer was not properly cleaned.

It was a great location with stations and amenities all close by. Clean property.

Climbing up 4 flights of stairs to the top floor with luggage was not ideal. If you have heavy luggage probably not the place. Top floor unit

Easy location to reach by two tube lines and lots of buses

We found the apartment not cleaned at the entrance and had to loose two or more hours waiting to be set up. At the end all was good! The area is a bit strange, not very quite in the night and if the weather is hot you need to sleep with open windows so lots of noise

The property was very nice, included all the necessary items as well as a caraffe to filter water, power adapters and plenty of coffee capsules. It faces the quiet side of the street and on the top floor provides a very quiet environment

Only once the heater stopped working, but the owner sent a person to fix it quickly.

Our room was on the third floor. Since we had a small kid, it was a bit tough to going in and out every time. But it is what it is. The room itself was great anyway:)

Functioning washing machine; available fridge; working stove. Heater was working perfectly.

Water heater was only working. So we had to pile the cool water supply from the toilet sink to have a reasonable shower. Otherwise, water was too hot
