Guest House hachi hachi

Beautiful, elegant traditional Japanese (but new construction) family-run guesthouse in Koyosan. Attention to detail is evident in the interior design— traditional yet contemporary execution. There is hot water, teas, coffee available 24/7 in a beautiful common room. The host is very friendly and informative. He sits down with guests when they arrive and gives an overview of Koyasan. He also took the time to plot an itinerary for my next trip. So helpful! I loved staying there—it was a peaceful base to explore Koyosan.

Like most Japanese houses, there is a lack of insulation and the rooms and hallways can feel quite chilly (if you come during the colder months). But each room has its own heating so if you’re feeling the cold, just stay in your heated room. And make any trips downstairs quickly!

Bardzo sympatyczny właściciel. Obiekt bardzo ładnie urządzony i czysty. W pobliżu znajduje się dobra restauracja "ponpoko" , dużo tańsza od tych świątynnych.

Jedynym znaczącym minusem jest brak prywatnych toalet w pokojach. Gdyby w każdym pokoju była łazienka, dałbym 10/10. Wielka szkoda, że lokal nie podaje już śniadań, bo na górze Koya ciężko znaleźć lokal który je podaje.

Cet établissement est une perle dans koyasan..j'ai tout adoré, l'accueil de l'hôte, sa disponibilité en toute discrétion , la propreté et le confort de la chambre, la tenu impeccable des parties communes..j'ai regretté de devoir quitter après 2 nuits, je serai bien restée au moins une de plus!🥰

Wonderful place to stay. It's even better than in the pictures. I would be very, very happy to come back. Great to stay for just one night or longer. The only convenience store in town is very close, so you get everything you need.

Posizione comoda, istruzioni per trovare l'alloggio chiare, stanza e sala comune pulite (e con sistema di riscaldamento funzionante). Super consigliato.

Nori ist ein super netter Gastgeber und kann sehr gute Tipps geben. Das Guesthouse bietet alles, was man braucht. Besonders toll: Kaffee und Tee gibt es kostenlos und das Fouton ist super bequem. Wenn man die 6am Zeremonie am Gobyo miterleben möchte (was ich auf jeden Fall empfehle) muss man allerdings ca. 45 Minuten zu Fuß einplanen.
