The Green Room Homestay

What's not to like about The Green Room. Valentina is a one of a kind host, who made feel most welcome and comformable in her home. From my arrival, with her helpful explanations on getting to her place to her courteous goodbye on my departure. Thank you, Valentina, for a memorable introduction to Galway.

The room was very comfortable and had a nice energy to it.

I have to disagree with all previous reviews that the location is close to town. A 40 minute walk or 30 minutes by public transport (which includes the 10 min walk to a bus stop) is not close in a small town like Galway. It is also a relatively expensive option for essentially a room only in someone’s house. Not to say that it isn’t nice and the host is not absolutely lovely, but it did not live up to 9.8 rating it had when we booked!

Nice bedroom tastefully decorated, in a quiet neighborhood, with private parking area. Great amenities.

Great host, very welcoming and gave lots of local tips because there was an art festival on. Everything was very clear from checking in, and explaining which buses or taxis needed to get around locally. Comfiest bed I've slept in for ages, room is really quiet and has your own wee kettle and even a small snack (nice touch). Towel and even labelled body wash shampoo etc so you know what's what. Handy location for getting to town and uni etc. Great value. Would stay again and recommend.

Everything was perfect.

The Green Room was ideal for my needs and great value for money. Everything was top quality and I had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable room. The host, Valentia, was extremely helpful with suggestions about the city.

Everything was fine, the property is a little outside the city centre, but that suited me.

Valentina is a very friendly and welcoming host and allowed me to access to the room at an earlier time which was a great help. The room was clean and very comfortable and excellent value for my 1 night stay.. Ideal location, just a 30 minute walk to the city centre. I would stay here again next time I visit in Galway.

Valentina is a super friendly and interesting host and it was a pleasure to stay at her place! She even borrowed me her bike to make sure I can make some extra meters for my bike challenge! :)

Valentina was fantastic - so friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and area quiet so great night's sleep. Excellent value for money for short stay just minutes by car from the city centre.
