The Blue Door Apartment

It was pretty and well appointed.

Anja kindly left a key out for us to enable us to check in an hour early. Upon arrival we were greeted by very loud and continuous barking. Audible within the apartment as well. I phoned Anja who assured me “they would settle down”. They did not, for hours we had to listen to loud barking. I contacted Anja again, who did not respond. I sent her two audio messages of the barking we were having to suffer and again, no reply. It was so disruptive that we left again and stayed out until late. Again getting home they barked, albeit less now the owners were also home. In the morning we were also woken by the barking. It is a lovely place, but it really is not viable to have such unsettled dogs and rent out to guests. At least make a full and clear disclaimer to the guests so they are informed and can make a choice.

Everything was excellent, pleasantly warm despite the freezing weather. The possibility of using the fireplace was very good. Good distance to nearby attractions.

Clean apartment with everything you need to prepare meals. Hosts were lovely and available on site. A short walk down to the waterfront and a quick trip into town.

Spacious, convenient and well equipped. Helpful owner on site.
