Casa Basilico' Taormina

Best of all was its central location in the old city. A pleasant, clean and comfortable spot with facilities as described. Francesco was a gracious host who met us at the apt to check in (which we appreciated). He was keen to please and always responsive.

The stairs were sometimes a bit of a challenge.

The location is in the centre of the old town with a fabulous view from the bedroom. It was difficult to find but Francesco our host was incredibly patient and helpful with directions and parking. We had a two hour boat trip in the morning and he kindly let us have a very late checkout. We were a family of five adults and the apartment was spacious and comfortable, kitchen was well appointed. Upstairs shower head a bit out of control but really not a major problem

The location is unbeatable, steps from Porta Messina and all the main attractions. We were able to go back and forth during the day when kids or grandparents were tired, without hassle. Also quick access to Parcheggio Lumbi via the (long) staircase and walkway.

Bathrooms are very small.

The place was spotless, great space inside and fantastic location

This is a fantastic apartment and I would highly recommend it for a stay in Taormina. The location is AMAZING and the apartment itself has everything that you could need. As a host Francesco was so kind and helpful.

The upstairs shower was a little tricky to use, but honestly there was nothing that spoiled our stay.

Very simple system with a coded box near the door. We received the code a couple of days before arriving. By far the easiest system I ever used while traveling.

Nothing to complain about.

Basically I liked everything, from the facilities to the exceptional location. We were a minute walk away from Porta Messina, opposite a Taxi stand and 5 minute walk to the bus terminus. So traveling around Taormina and nearby villages was super easy.

If I can find something negative (which did not bother us much), was the noise level which passed through the closed windows of passing vehicles especially in the evening. It did not bother us much, as in the evening we were so tired that we slept like babies :)

Central location steps away from the popular and lively streets of Taormina yet quiet at night. There’s a small supermarket 50mts away for groceries and the bus stop it’s just across the road. The host Francesco was fantastic and communication was great prior, during and post our stay and he even recommended restaurants to celebrate my parents’ birthdays to make it extra special. We would 100% stay again at Casa Basilico and will be recommending it to our friends and family as it was one of the nicest stays we had during our 3 weeks trip in Italy.

Very nice apartment with perfect location and cozy view. Communication was brilliant and they gave very good restaurant recomendations and if you prefer to make your own food there is a very good kitchen for that as well and a supermarket close by. Air condition was also amazing with one in each room.

A good knife was missing in the kitchen for making food and it was a bit noisy from the street outside
