Wasantha Garden Hotel Restaurant & Ayurvedic Treatment

Great location near local restaurants, beach and surf break. Room was nice and clean. Air con quiet. They have massage available at the hotel.

Didn't really bond with the staff. Breakfast is only one egg, white bread and fruits. They never cleaned our room during our stay, and the toilet smelled like old pee.

the location of this hostel is perfect, in a quite area but there’s a lot of great restaurants and so near the beach where you can watch a lovely sunset with a beer. The rooms was really clean and the staff were very friendly and effective.

The room is really small and has no natural light which made it really quite claustrophobic. Breakfast everyday is nice but were offered the same option everyday which was quite limiting. It would be great to see some Sri Lankan options available. This is a nice hotel but I would say over priced for what it offers.

The owner is very nice and helpfull! Very clean rooms and good breakfast. Every staff member was really sweet and happy. Smiling all the time. Felt like home.

We had a family room and the large double room upstairs for 2 couples. They were both very comfortable and had all the amenities needed. The owner and his family made us feel very much at home. Breakfast was delicious. It was great to have the upstairs deck for our use and access to a safe swimming area in the sea was very convenient. Stray dogs were an issue, but this has nothing to do with the accommodation.

Water pressure was poor and the towels in the double room needed to be replaced with newer unstained ones.

This place is great value for money (clean rooms with hot water and AC) - but (and I say this as someone who loves beaches) the local beach is what makes it really special because it is so close and has a low natural breakwater about 30 m out - which makes it a great beach to go swimming (not ideal for surfing unless you are really experienced). Hardly any tourists and a small cafe where you can get cold beer, soft drinks and snacks (perfect) It's also close enough to the main beach and all the great seafood restaurants, surfing and bars located nearby. The owner is a incredibly helpful - sorted us out with tickets for whale watching and also fishing off a boat. Makes nice smoothies and the curries at the restaurant are excellent. The rooms are clean, comfortable beds and secure.

If you want grilled fish - go to the beach and pay the price.
