Stylish Double Room in shared apartment in Oxfordshire

Easy to get to and there was parking outside

When I checked in the toilet wasn’t as clean as I expected but when I came back at 1am it was cleaned later. The ad did say shared apartment but I should have asked more questions on the phone, would have preferred staying somewhere solo where I would not distract another person. There was another person staying at the apartment too which is fine

I liked everything but the shower

Took a while to find building and flat number, and never found key locker. However lower door wedged open so not a problem to enter. Friendly welcome. Shown facilities and kitchen to make drinks. Plenty hot water.

Steep stairs to second floor. Separate toilet with no wash basin.

The bed was good. Location 35 minutes by bus from the centre. The neighbourhood was calm. But the neighbours were rude with us.

The shower was broken and dirty. Need maintenance.

Parking

There was a baseball bat with a sock on beside the bed. No lock on toilet door, no lock on the bedroom, host was unwelcoming, room smelt like dog. Not suitable for females.

On arrival I decided not to stay here. As a female solo traveller the area did not feel safe and bathroom facilities were unsuitable.
