We arrived and were immediately asked to sign a contract outside of Booking.com's terms and conditions. The A/C didn't work, and we had to call Wonderful Italy multiple times to arrange a repair. Unfortunately, the handyman was on holiday during our entire stay. The A/C was crucial to manage the unbearable humidity in the apartment. To give you an idea, we washed our clothes upon arrival, and they were still wet after three days. While this humidity is typical for ground floor places in Ortigia, it can be easily remedied with functioning A/C. We requested compensation for the unavailable service, but our request was denied. Additionally, at check-out, the staff thoroughly inspected the flat and even counted the frames on the walls in front of us, questioning if we had stolen any. The guy mentioned that he needed to count the frames for all the rentals. I won't book with Wonderful Italy again, as this isn't the first time I've been disappointed.
