Casa vacanze Lago di Campotosto

It was an interesting location, right by the lake with a nice view from the enclosed porch. There was lots of room, the heat worked well, it had a dishwasher and lots of items in the kitchen to fix food.

The musty/moldy smell was persistent and overwhelming, even after airing the apartment out. We could only stay one night out of the two we booked because the smell was making us sick.

The house is in a stunning location close to Lago di Campotosto with good running and mountain views. Easy to access with a lockbox, host responsive and the property well equipped with a comfortable bed.

The property is in the countryside with associated issues that can arise with that type of property with water and electricity supply. For the rate paid for the house I would expect the oven not to short circuit the electrics for the house. There is no WiFi and phone signal in the area is extremely weak. There is a shop/restaurant/self barbecue below the house which is managed by the host, luckily this was not due to open until mid-July as I imagine it could get noisy with tables set out in marquees all around the property and vehicles driving up to the house.
