Excellent location in the downtown but far enough away from the noise and bustle. The property is rather basic with a simple breakfast. The owners are delightful and made our stay very welcoming

Great location in Oaxaca. Easy walking to everything, located in quieter portion of the street that runs through town. Feels safe night and day. The room we had was very comfortable and included kitchenette. The owners are very kind and helpful. Would definitely book here again.

Location was excellent. On a small, quiet and scenic strolling street bordered by a picturesque ancient aqueduct yet within easy walking distance to the main area of Oaxaca. Retablos room was simple and spotlessly clean. Shower was large with wonderful rain shower fixture. Comfortable beds with high quality linens.

Juan was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is clean and quiet. We liked the neighborhood very much. Very nice open market nearby for food and just sitting with coffee or smooties and cafes and terrace bars nearby.

Juan and his home are truly special. A perfect location just outside the hustle and bustle of the city center. It’s a hidden gem. Juan is kind, gentle person who accepts each guest as his family.
