Fort Cresent Sea View Apartment

A nice cozy apartment in which we found everything we needed to spend time. We were satisfied. Our anniversary was a success! Thank you very much!

What a wonderful stay! The owners were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was convenient and comfortable. The location was perfect - overlooking the sea, just a short walk into town or a short walk to the tidal pool for a swim the other direction. Would recommend a walk along the coast too! The flat had everything you would need and we were even welcomed with a box of chocolates! Bed was cosy and comfortable, lovely soft bed sheets and a large tv and couch in case of a curl up with a film. Can’t wait to come back!

Location was perfect, in central Margate and able to walk to everything. The apartment was very clean and cosy. The hosts were also very helpful and offered a great service. Would highly recommend.

The apartment was clean, in an excellent location with a sea view. Near the Turner art gallery, Harbour, and old town. There were many nice restaurants, vintage and antique shops, smaller art galleries and conveniently an Aldi store right around the corner. The Aldi shop was so convenient as I don't have a car. A lot to do and see and all within walking distance to the flat.The flat was bright, airy, but quiet too. Matt was very quick to respond and helpful with any questions I had. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks had a very nice stay overall.

I was a bit cold without central heating this time of year. The oil filled heaters worked well. Especially to heat the bedroom. But in the larger open plan kitchen/living room it was still a bit cold with the oil filled radiator. There was a storage heater in the living room. Tried to get it to turn on and heat up the living room, but couldn't get it on. Maybe some more clear instructions on how to get it to come on?

It was close to the main areas of interest in Margate and the restaurants. All basic amenities were available so breakfast could be prepared, except for making fresh coffee.

The bedroom is very small and it was difficult to get in and out of bed, if you have knee problems or limited flexibility. Due to original feature sash Windows in the living room and bedroom it was quite noisy as they were on the side where the main road passes. I would have liked to have found a cafetiere or some filter coffee making facilities in the flat.

I liked that the property was cleaned and comfortable and also the perfect size for a couple to feel more near each other.

Cleaning could be enhanced , a bit more freshness in the towels and bed linen . A salad bowl would also be a good addition to the kitchen ware .

The Apartment inside is perfect, beautiful. On arrival, I wasn't sure if I had the right address because I got the visual impression it looks like there were rather rough people living on the ground floor flat, I mean it looked run down, I'd arrived in Margate & had spent 4 hours looking for a place to stay, it was proving very difficult on a set budget in peak season & a music event that weekend so every time I went for a place, it was snapped up by someone else before I could book, I was getting desperate for a place for the night, it had got to 8pm, I prefer self catering, self contained than hotels & are often similar in price, can be cheaper! This is a bit over my budget but I'd just lost out on a few places, having driven to Ramsgate & back as well looking for a hotel! This was the 2nd apartment I looked at, the other round the corner just went so I snapped this one up before this one sold as well! Because it was last minute, I didn't know the host would give me access instructions quickly. He, Mateusz, was Very responsive ! Extremely quick ! He gave me the key code immediately ! He is very nice & kind :-) I entered the property, not knowing what to expect because of the building the flat is in, a 3rd floor? In a terraced house, once inside, it is beautiful ! Could easily & happily live there ! Beautiful double bed, separate bathroom with shower over bath which is perfect! One through open plan room with lovely lounge & kitchen areas, fully equipped, big flat screen TV with all the new things on it. Very ambient & peaceful & restful. Lovely sea view which is rare! Very central to walk into town! My only concern, would advise to look at, I read in another previous review, that the private door lock is very different to lock, fiddly & takes time & I don't feel it's the most secure as the door sits proud, a double lock would be a good idea ?
