Avalon Springs by Dream Resorts

The warm pools are lovely to sit and soak with different pools and different temperatures. It is very child friendly atmosphere with a "kids club" organizing different arts and crafts, sports, and other activities. The buffet breakfast is great as is the pool bar.

The dinners at the restaurant were just ok. Better off eating dinner in town rather than the resort.

The kids had a blast. Spacious room. We enjoyed seeing the Dassies everywhere.

We couldn't find a truly hot hot tub.

There were many positives. My family and I truly love visiting Avalon Springs, it feels like a home away from home. The massage was wonderful, and the spa staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The pools were great as always, and the children’s activities were fantastic. My 6-year-old especially enjoyed the day-side activities. Breakfast was also excellent, and both my children really enjoyed it. We will definitely return.

We recently stayed at Avalon Springs for two nights in the Garden Suite. Overall, our experience was good, but there were a few issues that need attention. When we arrived, the front stoep had not been swept and was quite dirty, which was disappointing as a first impression. At the indoor pool, the toilet area was unhygienic, with human waste next to the toilet. Unfortunately, my daughter could not use the facility, which was very inconvenient. After returning from breakfast, housekeeping had already serviced our unit, but a bucket of dirty water was left by the door. My 3-year-old was very eager to play with it, which was concerning and could have easily become a hygiene or safety issue. One experience that stood out was with a staff member at the bar. While walking from the day facilities in the evening, I asked if we could enter through the bar side since the gate indicated “hotel residents only.” The gentleman simply shook his head and went back to his phone without any explanation, which felt quite dismissive. Later, when I approached the bar to order a cocktail, the same staff member avoided assisting me and asked another barman to help instead. This made us feel unwelcome, which is not what we are used to at Avalon Springs. I hope management addresses these concerns to maintain the high standard we’ve come to expect.
