Avalon Springs by Dream Resorts

The mineral baths area is beautiful, set against the mountain. Looks modern with star lights and beautifully landscaped. Lots of pools of different sizes and temperatures. The view from the cabin over the mountain is stunning. The cabin kitchen is fitted with any and every appliance you will ever need. Unfortunately the accommodation is in dire need of an upgrade.

The insides of the cabins are very old and dilapidated. Was clean but could be better. They spent a lot of money on the upgrades of the pools, but the accommodation interiors are not in line with the amount you pay per night, which is a lot. Over the weekends there are many day visitors and the music from the bar is very loud. They have their own pools which are divided from the hotel residents, but they do disturb the peace. Some utensils should be added to the cabin, like sharp knives to cut raw veggies & meat with. Gloves for the oven.

Staff were friendly

We booked a family chalet as well as an additional double room and had requested that the two be located close together. On arrival, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They showed us through the chalet and advised that our family would be comfortable in the chalet alone, which turned out to be correct — we did not end up needing the additional room. They would be quite happy to cancel the additional room. Unfortunately, because the booking was made through Booking.com, we were unable to amend the reservation on arrival and forfeited the charge for the extra room. It’s worth noting that the additional room was located quite far from the chalet and in an older section of the property. Overall, the staff service on arrival was warm and helpful, but the booking flexibility and room allocation were disappointing.

Die Außenpoolanlage war sehr schön und gepflegt.

Unsere Zimmer waren Renovierungsbedürftig, sehr dunkel und hellhörig. Bad war ausreichend für eine Nacht.

Very nice breakfasts and different selections. Outdoor amenities very nice as well as the different pool designs and water temperatures. The evenings were especially nice to relax in the water. The pianist was very smoothing at dinner time!

It was disappointing that the admin people did not do their job properly. After leaving the complex with all expenses checked and payments made, I was surprised to receive an email the following day saying that there was an underpayment of ZAR 200.

Breakfast was great and pools were the Best. The rooms are abit old they need an uprade but they are nice

Die Pools Indie Lage ist natürlich der Hammer. Mit Kindern so warm zu baden ist jedesmal unser Highlight kurztrip escape

Schon in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer brauchen dringend eine Renovierung.
