Whiskers and Woods Shepherd Hut

We had a great time, the location was really nice and the host was very friendly. The hot tub was nice to use in the evening and the breakfast in the morning was great. We will definitely be recommending.

The hut was fresh and clean, looking out onto an open field was lovely and peaceful. They gave us chicken feed for the chickens just wondering around which was a lovely surprise. The hot tub was nice and big for 2 it was lovely.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Everything was amazing. Especially loved the hot tub which has proper jets in it. Also the fabulous, peaceful views, enabling you to feel away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. A real treat. Very happy that there was no TV! Also the three chickens that wandered about were a joy to watch, helping that feeling of relaxation in beautiful rural location. The host was brilliant - on hand if you needed anything, but at the same time we had complete privacy. We arrived by bike so brought all our food with us, but the host leaves a very helpful, comprehensive list of local eateries in the accommodation in case you need it, with lots of options that sounded good!

The only very slight thing for us was the quality of some of the breakfast ingredients that were left for us. For such a luxurious stay it would have been nice to have orange juice not from concentrate perhaps, and a nicer quality of bread. But this is only a very small 'dislike', not enough to put us off from returning, which we would definitely like to! Also, having said this, the actual range of breakfast options left for us was better than expected.

Perfect peaceful location on the edge of a field. Only this cabin, so hot tub is pretty much a private one. Outdoor cooking facilities with gas hob. Inside microwave and toaster and fridge. Cooked breakfast ingredients provided for you to cook. Fire pit with logs provided for chilly evenings to relax outside with the charming lights and toast marshmallows. Everything has been thought of, but if you do need anything the owners are extremely helpful and great to chat to for advice about places to visit. We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nothing to dislike, it was perfect.

We loved our stay at Whiskers and Woods! The space was quiet, cosy, and incredibly well-equipped with high quality appliances. The attention to detail was impressive, from the underfloor heating to the thoughtful breakfast box with eggs and sausages for the outdoor cooking station. Plus, the chicken feed to distract the feathered-visitors at dinner time was a charming touch. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway - make sure you bring your swimsuit to enjoy the jacuzzi!

Gorgeous setting, the hut itself is absolutely beautiful everything we could need is supplied, perfect for a lovely relaxing time away. Lovely friendly hosts.
