Central apartment with parking!

Titolo “Clickbait”. Questa è la cosa che mi ha dato maggiormente fastidio. Con una descrizione più sincera della casa avrei dato un voto più alto. Il posto non è centrale, ma questo lo sapevamo già guardando dalle mappe. L’appartamento non è dotato di parcheggio privato, ma l’indicazione è stata quella di parcheggiare normalmente per strada, quindi è soggetto a disponibilità. L’angolo cottura è costituito esclusivamente da 1 fornello elettrico da campeggio. Piatti e pentole non erano molto puliti. Probabilmente erano stati lavati con delle semplici salviette igienizzanti che abbiamo trovato in cucina. Non c’erano né spugnette, né detersivo per lavare i piatti. L’appartamento ricavato da una vecchia cantina al piano terra. È molto fastidiosa la totale mancanza di privacy, chiunque passi in strada o voglia salire ai piani superiori puó tranquillamente guardare dentro. Abbiamo dovuto attaccare dei sacchetti sulle finestre. Manca un tavolo idoneo per pranzo o cena. L’appartamento ha il soffitto molto basso, poco più di 2 metri.

La casa è molto carina, compatta ma ben organizzata, il bagno carino e accogliente. L’host molto gentile e disponibile a ogni evenienza. Il centro di Bergen si raggiunge con semplicità tramite il bus che si prende vicino alla casa. Molto consigliato

Clean and tidy place. Good size room. Nearby park uphill with great views of the city. Quiet neighborhood.

Small bed, size 1.5 persons which doesn't fit two people comfortably. Especially given the size of the room with the available space, the bed must be of size for 2 persons. Very small table which is suitable only for having coffee, but not for having any meals. Given that there is a kitchen in the apartment, and the available space, a bigger table would be more suitable. The kitchen didn't have some basic stuff, such as cleaning sponge or sufficient kitchenware. Even though the facility is listed as central apartment, to get to the center you need to take a bus and ride it for 15 stops. That, along with the walking to the bus station and the waiting, takes about 40-50 minutes.

The windows on the picture may look like a cellar, but actually the apartment is quite high above the terrain, so we had something like a first floor cellar. It was spacey, had a built in kitchen with fridge, so we could keep and make our own meals, and nice and clean. There is free parking, but I suggest you write in advance and ask for instructions to find it.

The apartment is described as central, but the distance to Bryggen by foot is about 4 km. We used our car to go there, but there should be a fairly direct bus line. The distance from the apartment to the nearest supermarket is about 1.8 km by foot, so it may be worthwhile to buy any food on the way to the apartment. One funny detall: If you take Floyen, Fløibanen, to the top of the mountain above Bryggen, it is fairly easy to pick out the apartment from there with a binocular.

The property was just about sufficient for the price we paid.

Bed is absolutely tiny (small double <120cm), it’s uncomfortable and not suitable for two people to have a good nights sleep at all. The shower only had one temperature - HOT - which made for unpleasant showers in the warm weather. Only hand towels left out, no towels suitable to use while showering. Also only had half a roll of toilet paper left for a two night stay. The accommodation has NO CURTAINS! Had to cover the windows with blankets and cushions so we could sleep! The listing also states that there is a microwave- there isn’t one. There is also no kettle, you have to boil water on the electric stove in a saucepan. Would not waste your time, even for the low price.

It was everything it was advertised to be. Parking was no problem. And getting into Bergen centre was easy.

I am 1m90 tall and weigh 11o kgs and my partner is not small either, so we found the bed tiny.

It was a convenient place between Bergen and airport, with free parking. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed was relatively small for 2 people, but it is manageable for a night or two. I wouldn`t stay longer at this place.

We went during the season of midnight sun, and the apartment didn`t have any curtains. So we had to block the windows with our clothes to be able to sleep at least a little bit. The bathroom had a strong smell of mold.
