This is the best guest house ever. Amazing house, wonderful decorated rooms and very clean. Bathroom also clean and fluffly towels. The rest of the house which you share with others are beautiful. Outdoor area is to die for

An accommodation with a soul! The house is absolutely beautiful and has so much more character than a chain hotel. We enjoyed the decoration, the big and comfy bed, the spacious room, the Balinese-style pool and garden, and Lore was very welcoming and accommodating. You can park for free in the surroundings, and it's safe to walk to the French quarter (you'll see some beautiful mansions along the way).

The room was clean and the interior was great! The room had everything that we needed, and the whole house was great and perfect! The were not a lot of people staying, thus we could use easily the backyard pool and our trip went perfect!

The Dragonfly is a wonderfully eclectic period house with attention to architectural and decorating detail. It has every amenity (including a teapot) and Lore provides little touches that make your stay both comfortable and welcoming. There is also a lovely garden pool area for relaxing after busy days in the city. The bonus is walkability in a beautiful neighbourhood and easy access to the French Quarter. I highly recommend it and hope to visit again.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. It had everything I could possibly need, and it’s decorated so beautifully. You have to experience it for yourself. Lore was very accomodating, I could reach out to her if I needed anything. I had the pool to myself when I used it, and there were even nice pool towels and a pool house for changing and rinsing off etc. The place was very cleanly and everything is high quality. High ceilings and lots of room to lounge and feel at home. I also loved being able to use all of the kitchen amenities when I wanted to reheat some leftovers. This was the best place I’ve stayed at in a long time. I plan to book again in the coming months.

It was a little warm at night, but I talked to Lore about that, and she turned down the thermostat the next night (I sleep better in cooler temps).

It’s a beautiful historical house. We were lucky that we had the whole part to ourselves that included a gorgeous living room, dining room, full kitchen, half bath all downstairs. The upstairs had 3 bedrooms and we had one with double beds and private bathroom that included a claw bathtub with a rain showerhead. The other two bedrooms were not rented. We also had access to the beautiful heated pool in the backyard. Lore was a wonderful host! Very friendly and welcoming. She offered recommendations on where to eat. She set up a private tour with a local neighbor for us. His name is Andrew. We loved the tour! Andrew is very knowledgeable of the history and culture. He’s the real deal. Also includes free on site parking. We drove so that was definitely helpful. It was a lovely time. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing negative about the property. It’s next to the historic Treme area where the musicians lived. You need a car or Uber/Lyft to get to the other areas. FQ is very close but not in walking distance. We mostly drove to where we were going but used Lyft a couple of times. The Lyft drivers were very friendly. Also our room didn’t have much of a view ( side of neighbors house), but that is what we paid for( Mid City room). I don’t know the price difference but next time I would stay in the French Quarter suite that includes a balcony or the Bywater room that I believe overlooks the pool area. Not complaining about the room, it was beautiful.
