Nice location, off the beaten path with beautiful views over the sea and west coast of Crete. There was a nice breeze so good to sleep and no mosquitoes The owners live downstairs and are a friendly couple. As they only speak greek, google translate was very helpful. The space rented out is very functional and has everything you need

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cottage in Crete. From the very first moment, we felt welcomed and cared for in a way that went far beyond our expectations. The hosts are truly exceptional people – warm, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. They greeted us with homemade treats and fresh juice, and throughout our stay they made us feel more like friends than guests. Their hospitality really added a special charm to our holiday. The cottage itself is cozy, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Waking up in the mountains, with the fresh air and the breathtaking view from the balcony, was an experience in itself. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee while looking out over the beautiful landscape. At the same time, the location is ideal – while the house is tucked away in the mountains and surrounded by nature, it’s also just a short drive to some of the most stunning beaches on the island. This balance made it easy for us to explore during the day and return to a peaceful, quiet home in the evening. What stood out the most, however, was the warmth and generosity of the hosts. They were always ready to help with anything we needed, gave us great recommendations, and went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. It’s rare to meet people who put so much heart into what they do, and it truly made all the difference. We can wholeheartedly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting Crete. If you are looking not just for a place to stay, but for a welcoming home with wonderful people, beautiful views, and a perfect location to explore the island, this is the place. We left with full hearts and would love to come back again one day.

Overall, everything was wonderful and we truly enjoyed our stay. The only thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is located high up in the mountains. This makes the setting absolutely beautiful, but driving there can sometimes be a bit challenging, especially if you have a very low car like we did (we had a Volkswagen Beetle). Some of the smaller roads are quite narrow and winding. That said, most of the main roads are new and in good condition, so with a bit of care and cautious driving it’s not a big issue.

Posto meraviglioso e super accogliente. Il primo posto dove abbiamo apprezzato l'autenticità del posto. Il pezzo forte è sicuramente la cordialità e gentilezza della coppia al piano di sotto che ci portava cibo buonissimo e fatto in casa. Ci siamo sentiti a casa.

Casetta molto accogliente immersa nella natura, lontano dalla caoticità, ma allo stesso tempo vicina a spiagge meravigliose. Consiglio a chi ama i contesti tranquilli e naturalistici. I proprietari sono gentilissimi, simpaticissimi e molto accoglienti. Se tornerò a Creta sceglierò sicuramente un' altra tappa ad Areti. Grazie

I proprietari dell’appartamento sono persone super accoglienti e gentili.. Ti fanno sentire come se fossi parte della famiglia.. Inoltre la posizione è fantastica.. sei circondato dalle montagne con vista mare e c’è una quieta incredibile

Tutto. La struttura è semplicemente meravigliosa, con una vista stupenda sul mare e sulle montagne. La casa è accogliente e dotata di tutto il necessario. I proprietari di casa sono stati sempre gentilissimi e sempre disponibili. Gran belle persone. Consigliatissima per chi cerca pace e relax.
