Pretty Ground Cottage in Comrie

The cottage is so well decorated - it has a real homely feel to it, but with a boutique twist by being so well coordinated.

The property is in a great location. It is a very cute cottage, is clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was good. There was always on road parking available outside the property and the owners were very responsive to our questions, and were quick to provide help when required. We really enjoyed our stay in Comrie.

Unfortunately I can only give a 7 as there were a few things that weren't ideal. There were only 2 of us staying in the property, which was perfect, but in all honesty I wouldn't have been happy if there were four of us. One of the bedrooms is very small, and would have been awkward for two people. The other comfort issue is that although there was a very comfy couch, the two chairs in the lounge looked cute but were terrible to actually sit on. There also wasn't really enough bowls and cutlery. If you had wanted soup and a desert at the same meal you would have needed to wash the bowls mid meal. Finally if you are tall, both beds have bed ends, so it isn't possible to straighten your legs (if sharing the bed with someone else). Finally the property smells a little musty. The owners have tried to cover this up with lots of air fresheners, but the musty smell isn't that bad and the air fresheners could be a bit overpowering (we ended up turning them off). Although this list is much longer than the things I liked, I did enjoy my stay, and would not let it put you off staying if you are two or three people. I would recommend the following to the owners however. 1. Replace the double bed in the big room with two singles that can be pushed together to make a Superking. The room is massive, and this gives much more flexibility for people, 2. Get rid of the bed ends, these are a nightmare for tall people. 3. Provide enough pots and cutlery that people have enough to last them a day, and can fill the dishwasher once and turn it on at night, With the amount you have provided, people are likely to run it twice a day so they have enough pots, which will cost you a lot more in electricity and dishwasher tabs. 4. Provide some decent arm chairs, Then your cottage would be almost perfect.
