Beautiful rural location only 20 mins from Heraklion airport. Spotlessly clean and modern accommodation with great views. Easy to find as per the booking.com directions. Welcome pack of bread, fruit, oil, water, honey, marmalade, eggs, raki and delicious local wine. Comms with the owner we're excellent and quick, nothing was too much trouble. We landed late but that was no problem and even got a longer check out. Landscape and gardens were beautiful, stunning mountain view. Bed was a tad firm for our preference. Close to local village for bread/coffees/food although there is a nespresso machine in the villa. Would definitely recommend 👌

We had a wonderful stay! It's only 20 minutes from the center of Heraklion, but the tranquility makes it feel like a world away. Michalis greeted us with a warm smile and a basket filled with homemade marmalade, fresh oranges and lemons, eggs from local chickens, delicious honey and other goodies. The villa is cozy, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is perfect for cooking. The garden is full of fruit trees and flowers, and my son loved the chickens on the nearby farm. We really enjoyed dining outside with views of the mountains. The peaceful surroundings provided a restful sleep each night. Michalis was incredibly helpful and ensured our stay was wonderful. This villa is perfect for families and anyone wanting to enjoy nature while being close to the city's conveniences. We felt refreshed after our time here and highly recommend it for a memorable and relaxing experience!

One of the best places we had in Crete Has everything a guest might ask and more, attention to the most minute detail the villa is surrounded with fruit trees, vegetable garden, very well taken care of, a true Paradise for people who like to be surround by nature.. Our host Michalis, is one of a kind person. Michalis helped us and was willing happily with anything we asked for. we could not ask for better place or hosts when we arrived, homemade goodies were waiting for us: creten honey, marmalade, homemade-wine, Raqi, cookies, cretan herbs, fresh eggs from his chickens The best stay for those who would like to be near Heraklion and still, have all the best village atmosphere in a very modern equipped relaxing villa

I could not have imagined a better start into my holidays than staying at Villa Ornament. I was welcomed with the greatest warmth and hospitality by Michael and his grandparents. Fresh pastries, tomatoes, grapes, melons and courgettes from the garden were just another treat that sweetened my stay. The villa is located only 20 minutes south of Heraklion by car and offers every imaginable comfort. The view over the valley from the terrace is unique. You can sleep in absolute peace even with open windows and the only sound you hear in the morning is the lovely singing of the cicadas. I can only recommend a stay at Michael's villa to each of you.

Everything was just PERFECT. The communication with Michalis, the young owner, was prompt and efficient. The house and its beautifully maintained garden is like a little paradise, the atmosphere so relaxing and calm. All facilities are brand-new, modern and light, with great attention to detail. The kitchen is very well equipped and spotless clean, so is everything. The location of the house is just amazing, in the middle of nature, very quiet, perfect for nature lovers and star gazers. The traditional village of Dafnes is in walking distance. I received a very warm welcome by Michalis and his mother, with Cretan delicacies, homemade marmalade, fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden. Both did their best to make my stay comfortable. Convenient location also for a stopover on the way to South Crete (i.e. to Agia Galini, Triopetra areas).
