Charmigt!

Location was perfect for us. Bed was comfy Shower was strong. Apartment was warm. Good WiFi - although not really strong enough for Chromecast Period features eg fire chimneys Things that could be improved include… The security of the building and the apartment itself. The apartment door did not lock properly from either the inside or outside and even with the door supposedly locked you could enter the apartment by inserting a finger between the door and frame and opening the door. Not great for nervous travellers. The kitchen sink plug did not work (ie keep the water in the sink) and there was no wiping up cloth - at least I could not find one. Please fix or replace the chairs! They are currently unusable other than as bedside ‘tables’ It would be nice to have had some welcome tea and coffee making facilities just to tide guests over until they get their bearings. I am usually happy to replenish. A welcome sheet indicating what was in the apartment would have been helpful or expand facilities in the booking.com listing. Eg. I had no idea about the hairdryer until the morning we left when I found a hidden cupboard behind the bathroom door… Make it clear that the TV can only be used for Chromecast (welcome sheet?) but as an aside , although a neat idea, we found the WiFi struggled to cope with casting.

(I'm going to be detailed here because there is so much fixable potential, and it just needs attention) We repeatedly got splinters in our feet from the old wooden floorboards The toilet room didn't close or lock, so you would be eating with a wonderful view of the throne The toilet room has an unfrosted top window, with a direct view into the building opposite. And when you sit down or hide, the mirror in the room reflects directly onto the toilet for all to see (I made eye contact with someone when dark in the morning, and hid, but turned around and she could still see me through the mirror) The shower at best is Luke warm, and maybe gives you 20 seconds of intense heat before it doesn't. The towel rack in the bathroom has a wireless receiver, which is in line to the showerhead, and doesn't work (I'm expecting BC electronics and water do not mix) so we never could have dry towels I didn't like how the room didn't really have a lock. Anyone would literally put their finger into the latch and press it out to open the door. I would suggest you get a real lock to open the room door instead of just the cute old fashioned key.(I understand the high trust stuff in Sweden but this is uncomfortable for travellers with low trust) The internet speed was low and unusuable so I had to use my esim data. One of the seats were not properly fastened and it felt like it was a wrong move away from completely breaking and causing lots of hassle. Check the joint between the seat and backrest on one of the chairs!) The ceramic heaters are super cute but there is no sealing of gaps between it and the wall so we could see and smell bare old plaster, spiderwebs, and God knows what else. The bedroom on has a single blind between two large windows on the bedroom, so all night half your room is illuminated by streetlights. When snowing, the tractors will come by several times to clear away snow (very loud) or lay stones and happens around 2am.

Charming, full of character and great location

A little bit noisy but you are in the middle of the old city.

Great property but if I may suggest to make it a 10. Shampoo and conditioner in shower and bed side tables with reading lights. Also bigger cushions and a real duvet with real feathers so the body can breath better sleeping.
