2 Bed Cottage Sleeps 5 - Pets Allowed

The location was brilliant. Easy to find and access. There was always a close by space to park in (although we did go off season, so I'm not sure how that translates). We were close driving distance to Newquay, Eden Project, Hidden Valley, and about an hour from Tintagel. There is a Morrisons 10mins down the road towards Newquay with (relatively) cheap petrol. The apartment itself had been cleaned. The fridge was wiped out, floor recently mopped, bedsheets seemed clean. I don't know if it was because of the time of year, but it was quiet. We didn't hear much by way of loud raucous parties etc.

The advert was not very clear or explicit. It was not clear to me that by booking through booking.com, we were not entitled to use facilities in the resort. It was not clear what amenities were included in the apartment. My young child's bedroom overlooked a pool that we couldn't go in (we double checked inside the gym, and turns out we could use the pool, but one session for an adult + a child would cost £30 - for just a smallish square pool - no flumes or anything from what I could tell). There was a playground we could use. The outdoor pool was run down, filthy and closed (and would have cost the same as the indoor pool if it was open). I'd already planned to take my kid to the water park down the road as a treat, but thought we'd be able to use the pool there in the evenings to help my kid unwind. I've never stayed anywhere like that before where you can't use the available facilities freely. On entry, it had a really strong dog odor - which honestly, we knew dogs were allowed, so although it wasn't very nice, I suppose it couldn't be helped. There was very little instruction on how stuff worked. Like, the first night was freezing cold, but we had to figure out the model of the digital fireplace, look online for instructions, locate the remote control etc. We couldn't get netflix. The prime was logged in to the owner and I didn't feel comfortable logging her out/using her account, so we ended up watching tv on our laptop in the lounge. A lot of the cupboards and drawers downstairs and in the kitchen were filled with random clutter so we couldn't use them for our stuff. The whole resort was run down. Lots of litter outside, needed a lick of paint and some tlc. There was a wash.me laundry facility. It was extortionate, and the dryer did not work. There wasn't any ventilation (or clothes horse) in the apartment, so our towels etc were not getting dry after several days.

Would have liked it to be more clear that you can not use the swimming pool was told a day before we went on holiday kids was very disappointed
