Cosy place in historic building

I really liked the location — it’s right in the center of the city, next to the Bibliotek and within walking distance of Lidl and the train station. It’s very convenient if you want to explore the area without needing transport. The apartment itself is charming, with a mix of new and antique furniture that gives it a nice character. It can feel a bit cold at times, but there’s a heater that helps. I also appreciated the washing machine and induction plate, which made it easy to prepare simple meals. However, it’s missing an oven or microwave, and a coffee machine would make a big difference.

The main downside is the noise — the street is right outside the window, and you can hear cars as early as 6 a.m. doing street cleaning and also late into the night. The windows reduce the noise a little, but not completely. The host, however, is amazing — very friendly, helpful, and quick to sort out any issues. With a bit more attention and a few small additions, this place could really be a gem. It’s clearly been renovated, but it’s missing a few finishing touches.

Après avoir enfin pu mettre la wifi en fonctionnement, elle ne se maintenait en service que 5 minutes à chaque fois. Les meubles dans l'appartement étaient moyennement propres (beaucoup trop de poussière)

A nice, bright and clean place to stay. Well decorated with old-style furniture and books to read (mainly in Lithuanian, but also some in English and German). Situated on one of the central streets, many shops and cafes close to the house. There is a fully equipped kitchen in the apartment, so you can cook your own meals. Compact but fully renovated and clean bathroom. Quite large and comfortable bed. A helpful neighbour. Communication with the host and his/her helper was friendly and polite. When we reported the problem, the lady arrived immediately. Thanks for that! In general, we're happy with where we were staying!

The noise from the cars if windows were left open. If someone is sensitive to noises during the night, then you should shut the windows. In the hot weather a conditioner would be nice. Just in case, if you have trouble climbing the stairs, know that the apartment is located on the second floor and there is no lift. We had some minor problems. One was where to meet the lady who let us in. We were waiting by the house on the street, but the main entrance is from the courtyard and you can go there to wait. The second was about the hot water tank. It was turned off and we found out the next morning when we took a cold shower. (: Luckily the tank wasn't broken, just not turned on before we arrived. So maybe a note on the switch would be a good idea, just to know that it should be switched on.
