Pilar Balconies in Funchal City

Location with good view and all the appliances available.

The shower head support was broken.

We really enjoyed the size of the apartment, the location in the heart of Funchal and also the amount of all necessities that we could think of such as ironing board, extra dish washer tablets, hairdryer, coffee machine etc. Not to mention the super easy parking, we found a spot right under the building every single day. The hosts were communicative and gave us clear instructions on how to get to the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend! :)

Everything was great!

We absolutely love the place, fantastic view from the balcony. Inside the flat it was a bit minimalistic (not much character). However, it have everything you need for self catering place (for family and couples). Bus stop to the town centre, 1min away from the block, takes only about 10 min. If you wish to drive (there is enough carpark space outside) not far from main high roads. I highly recommend this place.

Minimalistic without character, but to be honest we didn't care as it was more pluses of this place then minuses.

The apartment is very big and quite comfortable. I like the big kitchen with all the necessary equipment, big living room and 2 bathrooms. Beautiful view from the balcony to the ocean. Parking is free and available. Great location.

The apartment has quite old equipment. And because of that, it also has a very unpleasant smell. It smells of damp and old. We didn't use one room at all because of that smell. It was always closed and no one even set foot in it (it smelled too bad). In the larger bathroom, the shower head stand is broken, which makes it difficult to shower. There are a lot of lights in the apartment, but quite a few of them don't work. For example, because of that, there is no good light in the bathroom and as a result, men can't even shave. No coat hangers in the hallway - that's really missing. You can hear noise from the road - but it's all over the city, not just here.

We have spend 6 days in Funchal and the apartment had an excellent location for our small trips around island. Located very close to the highway, with many parking lots close to the big supermarket and many petrol stations. The host were patiently waiting for us even tho our flight was delayed and late in the night.

The flat seems new, very spacious and it has an amazing view from the balcony. Also, they have provided all the essentials (kitchen stuff, toiletries and etc.). Amenities is a top-notch! Location is nice as well. There's a supermarket/cafe nearby (1-min walk) and 2-3min walk for the nearest bus stop. 10-15mins going to Funchal area. Kudos to the owner and Miguel who are very much accommodating and easy to contact. We will definitely comeback! This flat is highly recommended. We stayed for 7 nights. Happy to be the first one! 😊👌💯
