Jungle Studio with terrace

Nicely appointed studio apartment with a comfortable bed and a good kitchen to cook in. Set back from the road and pretty quiet for the most part. A fan and air-conditioning are both on hand to keep you cool, and I found the wi-fi to be reliable. There is a short, easy walk to town/beach. On the way is a handy Hypermart to supply you with most of the basics you will need. If tricycles or motorbikes are your thing then you will be able to commandeer/hire one as you come out onto the road. The owners are very helpful - they check in with you, and are quick to tackle any problems that come up.

Taking a shower soaked the whole bathroom, and the local roosters could be a bit loud around 5.30am, but but these are common problems in the Philippines, and crop up in a lot of accommodation I have stayed in.

It is actually located in a narrow alley, a bit uphill with many stairs. For those who carry suitcases, it would be troublesome. Some furniture looks old and moldy. The bathroom is small and does not have many amenities, very basic. No soap, no shampoo. The A/C sometimes works sometimes not. The water pressure of the shower is so low, the worst part is the hot water doesn't work sometimes, impossible to take a nice shower after the beach. One morning, there was construction going on right outside of our window next to the bed, making it impossible to sleep. They seemed to be building another apartment like this next door. There was no drinking water provided, I personally think it would be better if drinking water is provided so that we don't need to buy bottled water all the time. The terrace has no view at all, the view is just a hill right in front of you, with nothing to see and giving a sense of oppression. Seriously, I can stay in a proper hotel room with better facilities with breakfast and a lower price than this. This is overpriced.
