Combe Martin Beach Holiday Park

Paid for WiFi reasonable cost n fast enough. Location great so can walk to beach

Arrived, unpacked and made beds. Oven didn't work. Spent 90 mins moving to another caravan No help offered or compensation (later asked for complimentary drinks n got). New oven worked but not grill. No repairs carried out.

The staff who were very friendly and helpful

The poor chef who was very good but had to work on his own all week and kept running out of food

That the beach was close for the kids

The caravan was ok the shower drain was blocked so floor was soaked and the drain took ages to drain the water away no entertainment on the evening .

Nice staff.

Dirty and almost everything was broken. Bedroom window didn't close properly so was kept awake by noise and wind every night. Kitchen had an unlockable fire door with dangerous stairs leading down three stories. Nightmare with children! No warning of this when booking. There was a spare key to our room hanging in the broken open fire box outside the room so anyone could have access any time. Water temperature didn't go above luke warm so we couldn't wash properly the entire week.

Wonderful location. Superb views. Quiet camp and this suited us. Young families might want more entertainment but it was perfect for us. Lots of places to visit nearby, Ilfracombe, Lynton, Lynmouth, Valley of the Rocks. Also nearby a Dinosaur/wildlife park and Watermouth Castle...plus lots more.

There was limited internet connection. You have to purchase internet to get access.

Not a lot. The staff were nice and allowed me a late check out as I was at a funeral very early

The caravan was so small we couldn't unpack our clothes. No way it could have six people . They wouldn't have anywhere to put their clothes either. No room to prepare food It was the smallest caravan I have ever seen.The TV didn't allow you to watch anything other than a few channels. No towels. No bath mat. No onsite facilities other than a very small bar and unheated swimming pool. Nothing for kids. They were Kind enough to let me have the late check out because of a funeral not did not communicate that with the cleaners.

The area was beautiful just not a lot to do

I had to clean fridge and freezer before using it, mattress was very uncomfortable, swimming only open certain days which I thought was ridiculous, no entertainment, no shop on site, to be honest I don't think I'll ever use a John Fowler Holuday Park again, certainly wasn't value for money, and this was supposed to have been a gold caravan
