"Beautiful retreat"

9.0

The house itself is breathtakingly beautiful, very private with own pool, kitchen is equiped with basic utensils, the beds and rooms are spacious, the architecture is cool. The restaurant at the resort serves good food and plans activities

The beach is not nice but we knew that, but that is pretty much it, it you have small kids be mindful of the staircase.

"It was a nice stay and all in all a good experience. A very clean and spacious Villa."

7.0

We had a lovely stay at the Happiness Kulambo Villa in El Nido. The villa itself is exactly as shown in the pictures—beautifully designed, spacious, and very well organized. One of the biggest highlights for us was the exceptional cleanliness; the hygiene standards were truly outstanding throughout our entire stay. The pool was nicely heated and very well maintained, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The View was exceptional. The villa was also quite easy to reach, and the front desk staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. They really tried to accommodate all our needs, which we appreciated a lot.

Unfortunately, we did experience a recurring issue with the water supply. On at least three occasions, the water completely cut out—making it difficult to wash our hands, cook, or flush the toilets. The most inconvenient moment was on our last day: we had an early morning departure and were unable to shower or even brush our teeth before a long journey to Iloilo. That was definitely a downside to an otherwise pleasant stay. All in all, while we genuinely enjoyed the villa and our time there, we found the price to be a bit high for what was offered—especially during peak season. We paid around €400 per night, totaling €1600 for four nights, which felt a bit steep considering the water issues and overall value. Still, it was a memorable experience and we don’t regret booking it. The property is beautiful and the staff was great—just a few improvements could make it a truly perfect stay.

"Very good"

8.0

The food was great at the little cafe. Staffs are attentive and you can arrange to have massage at your villa.

The floor is a bit dusty and there is no place to hang your towels or clothes inside the bathroom on the top floor. I need to request for a bamboo stand. There are mosquito and mosquito repellent or coil should be available in the villa. Pool is too small.

"Unique Villa"

10.0

We loved the villa as it was a very special experience for our family. The villa is beautiful and very unique. The kids really loved the private pool. The food in the restaurant was really good as well and I enjoyed the massage very much as well. There are restaurants around and it is a 15-20 minute ride to town. We would definitely stay here again.

"Expensive for the Philippines, trying to be luxury but fails. We wished we’d booked a hotel."

4.0

The Villa is a modern-style, architectural build with a nice view from the third floor. There are nice fittings throughout and the lighting is great on all floors. the Villa is located close to the Tricycle rank and is also just a quick walk to Corong Corong beach and its restaurants. The food in the restaurant was terrific! And the bar staff and restaurant staff were also always happy to help.

While it looks trendy and contemporary the building itself was not all that user friendly, particularly not with kids. The stair case was a genuine death trap, its steep, the stairs themselves and the decorative handrails were wobbly. One of the floating stairs has partially detached and others were loose. It’ll need to be redone. There is no internet access anywhere in the building other than the balcony of the roof top. Likely because the entire building is made of concrete. We had no internet issues anywhere else on the island. There are an abundance of power switches but unfortunately most don’t work. There’s no way to turn off the lights in the kitchen or to turn on the lights in the pool. We asked and were told it wasn’t finished. No pool/beach towels are provided unless you head to the front office and you need to take them back to change them each time you want fresh ones There has been a bit focus on form over function during the build. The entire place is uncomfortable. There’s a small nook with four padded chairs which look nice, but are uncomfortable. There are no couches anywhere in the building. There isn’t any outdoor furniture to lie on either. The pool water spills out into the kitchen and unfortunately, pools near the stools. It doesn’t dry without using towels to mop it up. It’s caused the base of the large decorative chair to rot. Coming back at night is a problem as there is no lights in the alley way. It was annoying as you needed to fumble around with keys. It was incredibly dark and also unsettling for the kids. We had plenty of rain the last day and it caused the pool to go green. I understand this is not within managements control but they cleaned it, meaning we couldn’t use the pool again. Finally, the reception staff met us with a smile but didn’t really seem to care. There wasn’t a lot of intent to find solutions other than giving us an excuse or sending maintenance who couldn’t really do much.

I had such a wonderful day at Happiness Boutique Hotel. The villa was nothing short of phenomenal, offering luxury and comfort in every corner. The hotel staff were amazing, always attentive and friendly. The restaurant menu had a great variety of top-star meals, catering to all tastes. Everything at this hotel was excellent, from the invigorating yoga classes to the pristine swimming pools and the rejuvenating massage spa services. Even the ice bath was a unique and refreshing experience. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay.

"The perfect end to our El Nido trip"

10.0

What a surprising chance booking! It was our last night in El Nido and decided to go all out on this beautiful villa. If I ever plan to come back, I'll probably book this villa again and for longer. Breakfast did not come with the room, but we did get a discount on the breakfast menu, which was small but nicely varied--not your typical breakfast menu. It was part of the all-day dining menu at the connected resort's restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious.

The beach is just 50 meters' walk away; it could have been better lit. We tried to go for a night swim. It's best to be prepared with at least your phone so you can light the way.
