Romantic Little House near Bath

The place is fabulous It’s just that the mattress is completely worn out and we woke up with back pain the two of us

Good location. Excellent, well equipped, clean, comfy little cottage.

A peaceful and relaxing stay in a beautiful village. Anne and Miwako were brilliant hosts and very responsive to all our requests. The bathroom had lovely L'Occitane products, which was very much appreciated! The bed is comfy and it was great to have a smart TV in the evenings.

Having to wash up the mugs ourselves - it made us realise that we didn't know if the people before us had been as careful.

The location of the property was good within waking distance of a little shop pub chippy and place was very clean love it

Nothing really but it was a 1 night stop on our way to new forest there was no breakfast

The room is very pleasant, fairly spacious, and has lots of character. The bathroom is also a good size and fitted to a high standard. It is very useful to have some basic cooking facilities (toaster and microwave) and a small refrigerator in the room. I met Anne on arrival and she was a charming host.

It is difficult to fault at the price, but some little improvements could be made. I struggled to find somewhere to plug in the toaster, as the extension lead sockets are all behind the furniture - perhaps a small side table to put the toaster on and another extension lead would solve this problem. The easy chairs in the room are not very comfortable really, and they are in the wrong place to watch the TV, so I didn't use that side of the room in the end, The bathroom is fitted to a high standard but the extractor fan is very noisy and I found it intrusive until it turned itself off.

This beautiful house and garden is just exquisite. All amenities were perfect. Quality toiletries were provided. We had a little mishap on arrival. Anne and family sorted our issue out in no time. After we settled in we walked to the local hotel. There was no dinner on Mondays so we took the 5 minute walk to the local restaurant. The meals and location were fabulous. We highly recommend this delightful house for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

The only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer.
