Alhambra Theatre Apartment

Very convenient location. We were seeing a show at the theatre and it’s just a couple of minutes walk away.

It is very well located, they could improve some things in the apartment but it is beautiful

We arrived later, around 7 pm, the house was not clean, but the owner of the house was very kind and sent someone to clean and he personally went to check that everything was correct, and he let us leave later than the usual check-out time, so nothing, everything was great, because it was very nice and he solved everything for me.

Nothing in particular, but close to shops and restaurants.

The approach to the flat is rat infested and strewn with rubbish. The communal area and stairwell was shabby and dirty. A thick layer of dust was on the headboard and dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. Kitchen unit doors seemed to be hanging by one hinge. There are serious health and safety issues: smoke alarms covered with a sock and plastic bag, no carbon monoxide alarm nor fire blanket. There are daytime parking restrictions but the owner kindly refunded parking charges at NCP car park.

Firstly, the flat is in a good location and generally as shown in the pictures. However we had a number of problems during our stay.

There is actually no designated/ free parking - after arrival, the host told us to park in a restricted 1 hour zone and that that they would pay if we received a fine. On arrival we found the dishwasher full of dirty dishes with significant mould growth, and no clean plates. It had obviously not been cleaned for weeks. The host did apologise and offer to send the cleaner, but they did not have their own key and host expected us to stay in to let the cleaner in. The slats fell out of one of the beds overnight. We noticed that this was mentioned in an earlier review and the host hasn't fixed it. As a result one of us moved into a near hotel. Other points to note (where the flat differs from the listing) are that there is a shared entrance with at least two other flats which is frequently left open, there is no air con (the host offered to bring an AC unit but again had no key and stopped replying to us) and lots of the fittings, e.g. blinds and kitchen cupboards are in disrepair. There are lots of facilities stated on the advert which are untrue. E.G. no terrace, no carpets, no hairdryer, no dressing room. There were stains on the bedding and no sheets on bed, two towels for four people. I hope the host can get these items fixed in time for their next guest. After our stay, the host stopped replying to us and we have been unable to get a response from them for compensation. We suggest scepticism on reading some of the positive reviews.

Close to the theatre, which is where we were working.

There had been several attempted burglaries in the building in the lead up to AND post our stay. The door to the main building is dodgy, very loose. The hallway was super dirty and messy. Extremely thins walls - you can hear what’s happening in the building. Loads of people constantly coming and going especially from the flat opposite, meaning the front door was constantly open. The kitchen is in a terrible state (cupboard doors falling off)

The price was reasonable and apartment was clean

No parking although advertised as parking. Cupboard doors hanging off, ornaments broken and left out, bathroom door difficult to close and bed unstable as lats were all loose.
