Cosy cottage in the countryside

Everything was great. Clean, good location, with all the amenities of home. Clear view of the countryside for the northern lights.

If you like beautiful nature, a super cosy cottage, hugs from the most friendly dogs (dreki and dúskur), a funny cat and courteous host, than this place is made for you! We had some relaxing days and we will definitly come back next year! 😀

Great location between Húsavík and Godafoss. We visited in October, so there was wintry weather. The kitchen was well outfitted so we could cook some of our own meals. The dishwasher was a great bonus. The beds were comfortable, and we also enjoyed the comfortable sitting area. The bathroom was nice and warm and there was plenty of hot water. The farm dog was sweet and friendly, always greeting us when we arrived. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

We couldn’t figure out how the door lock worked, but decided not to worry about it because of Iceland’s good reputation for not having crime. The shower is beautiful, but a bit small. The microwave oven is also small and low-tech, but it all got the job done! Also, we realize that as Americans we must make a lot more trash than Icelanders are used to, because the trash receptacles were quite small. All of this is probably normal for Iceland, and none of it impacted our stay negatively.

Very nice cottage in a beautiful remote landscape. Very clean, easy access even upon arrival after midnight. A really cosy cottage - as the name says. Very fast reply on any questions asked. Will certainly come back on my next trip to the North.

Gorgeous, bright, modern cottage in the countryside. My favourite accommodation during our two weeks touring around Iceland.

Some people might find it too remote but we loved that about it, too.

One of the best cottage in Iceland, the house is clean, everything is brand new, and you will be surrounded by cute horses and a friendly dog.
