Your Cozy Haven in Chanteclaire

The unit is lovely though but smaller than expected for 4 adults. The host/unit manager (Amanda) did not introduce herself in correspondences or when we met her. On arrival she noted the TV was not working due to the remote batteries which she said she would drop off later. We had to call her to remind her the next day to drop off. The TV did not work as it had no paid subscriptions and could not or connect to wifi. The outdoor areas are large and views spectacular. The floors were very sticky and unit not thoroughly cleaned. We were offered a cleaner to come by but declined as this meant we would have to pack everything up so we made do and I bought some bath mats. At the time of booking the breakage deposit was R1500. When you pay via credit card they add R1500 to your bill as a exit "cleaning fee". There was some confusing when we claimed it back as the R1500 "exit cleaning fee" is non-refundable and a complete rip off as this unit is a tiny 65 square metres. It would cost a third of that to clean this small unit and most accommodation rentals include cleaning! The wifi did not work well in all areas. The beds are small double beds and uncomfortable with synthetic fabric linen and polyester bath mats. The little lounge needs a coffee table and a small arm chair for inclement weather. The leather couch was well worn and ripped. The third bedroom is outside the unit which is not great when it's raining or for security as the door is glass with no gate but they do have an alarm system. The garden & pool area is neat and lovely and there is parking for two cars in a garage. Overall great venue just needs better management.

I was there for a couple of days and still haven’t received my R2000 deposit back . So annoyed!

The view of the mountain and sea were breathtaking. The accommodation were excellent 👌Shops a few minutes away.
