Clementine Cottage at Doe Creek

Great location, lovely property, and a charming cottage that had everything we needed!

The only thing was the bed was a little uncomfy.

This cozy cottage had all the comfort and amenities we hoped for! Great stocked kitchen, comfortable queen bed, awesome shower. The peaceful surroundings with a view of the pond and mountains beyond made our time there so special. The hot tub was a sweet added bonus!

Just an FYI for the owners: the hot tub jets continued to turn on and off throughout the night. We tried to figure out how to keep them off, but to no avail. Tried to reach you, but never heard back. It just made our nights not as peaceful as we had hoped.

We would have liked to have more washcloths. Loved the cottage. Over half the porch lights was out.

Rough driveway; rusty kitchen sink; cold floors

All of it! Everything! From the location, to the house, to the backyard! I loved the quaint little house with beautiful functional kitchen, the bathroom floor was beautiful, the ceiling fan in the bedroom was excellent. The fireplace, the hot tub, and the views made it so charming

The driveway was challenging but even that was a fun adventure

Couldn’t get the fireplace to work, though I did not reach out to management about this. And the last morning the water stopped working. And couldn’t find remote for the split system in the bedroom.

It was cozy, clean, and accessible from the highway. The check in process was smooth and everything in the cottage was in pristine condition. It’s the perfect size for a couple’s getaway in the mountains. There was even complementary coffee and tea waiting for us!

This has nothing to do with the property, but I would not recommend taking the Blue Ridge Parkway if you plan on visiting in the winter. Portions of the parkway may be blocked off and the back roads are sketchy if the conditions are bad. The fireplace didn’t seem to work but that could’ve been user error.
