Sunny apartment in Ålesund city

The position

The flat wasn’t very clean, the sofa bed wasn’t ready, we had to do it and it was really dirty. All the bedsheets weren’t ironed and also the towels weren’t nice quality. The blinders at the window were partially broken - as a result it was like being outside even during the night. Overall the flat is having good potential but it looks quite sloppy

It is spacious.

If you are walking from airport bus stop with carry on it is a good 15 min walk, last section is a bit uphill and the stairs are a bit narrow to go up/down with carry on. Unfortunately we did not get WiFi when we reached and no one responded to our queries either when we arrived at the apartment. Finally found the WiFi router and had to restart and it worked. The blinds in the living room do not obstruct the light coming into the sunny apartment. The dark blind in the bedroom needs to be pulled down manually which requires one to climb on a chair! The light in the bedroom was not working and unfortunately the host could not get it fixed! Had to call the host the next morning. Toiletries were average, the popular coffee in Norway, that the host said they have for guests was not available but cheaper version of coffee was available in the kitchen. The apartment is spacious and bright. There is no ventilation so have to open up a window. It was still a good value for money in summer.

Nice and cozy apartment, very big kitchen with all necessary amenities. Bedroom is kind of small, but enough for 2 people to sleep comfortably

We didn't figure out how to transform a sofa to bed. It is wide enough to sleep on as it is, but would be nice if it was able to turn into an actual bed

Check inn was easy. The host provided lots of information about the city and sights. The apartment is clean and central. Kitchen has everything necessary. We would definitely stay here again.

Internet is restricted and can be used by only one device at a time.

Really spacious and clean house in the heart of Alesund with multiple grocery stores within 2-3 mins walk. Host communicated clearly and the apartment was very easy to find

Very cozy and spacious. Close to city center. The kitchen have fully equipment.

The free parking lot is 5 minutes walk from the apartment

Nice apartment for the budget.

We did not realize the place was up the stairs and could not find it at first, also did not understand where the parking was. But we talked to the owners and sorted everything. The location is ok and a walking distance from the center, but a bit off the main area.
