Jackie smiled and said all the right things but was not welcoming. There was a smell of frying/cooking as soon as we walked in the main front door. This became stronger in the corridor upstairs and even lingered in our room. I think it was coming from the Garden cafe downstairs as there is only a curtain separating it from the rest of the property. Parking is an issue. Two of the 5 parking spaces are directly behind three others and blocks those cars in. We were blocked in when we wanted to leave but had to wait for the staff to contact the other guest to come back to move his car.

Lovely, clean, comfortable room and although small, had everything we needed. Loved the shower room, shower was fantastic and towels/toiletries were great. Good attention to detail.

The cooking fat smell from the cafe kitchen below was overpowering.

Owner very welcoming and helpful. Guesthouse nicely done, very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was awesome and staff so friendly. Conveniently located in walking distance of things in the town. Wished we could have stayed longer! Definitely recommend!

There was nothing we didn't like about this guest house.

There was no sign to show where the entrance is to this hotel as they share an entrance with another hotel, they do write that in the email but would've been good for clear signage. The bed was quite small so for couple best to ask for twin single.

Nothing wrong with it but bed too soft for me having a bad back.
