Casa Roncati by Wonderful Italy

It was in the right part of town, close to everything. It was a narrow alleyway, but there was stairs for stories up, without adequate lighting in the stairwell.

It was up a narrow alleyway, and they were four flights of stairs, not all of it lit. The place was cleaned OK, but was a bit worn and there was a prominent couch, which was actually dirty.

Location

The AC was not working. We were there for 5 days and staff didn’t make any effort to fix it despite extremely hot daily sun hitting the apartment. Furthermore the sofa bed was filthy and we had to place a cover over the top to sit on it.

The location is second to none - right in the centre of the old town, at the top of the Salita Serbelloni, the famous street with the steps. Be aware that if you arrive by ferry, there are a lot of steps to lug your luggage up. The apartment is nice.

Be aware that the AC is broken, it doesn't work. I'm annoyed and disappointed because looking back at previous reviews, this has been the case for some time. When I spoke to the letting agents, they told me it couldn't be fixed and to use a fan. It is impossible to sleep because the heat inside builds up so much - also, the bed is up a mezzanine floor, literally under the rafters. You can't open the windows because there aren't mosquito nets fitted. There are a huge lack of plates and only two glasses - of the three coffee cups, one is badly chipped. We stayed 5 nights and the lack of more towels (one hand and bath per person) is really not enough.

La Clim qui fonctionne quand elle veut puis s’arrête. Les nuits sont très chaudes sous les toits, et quand la clim se coupe par conséquent il est difficile de dormir.

Location, location, location It stayed nice and cool.

Was a spacious apartment.

There were no plug sockets upstairs so had to leave my phone on charge downstairs overnight. The bath/shower needs updating along with that god awful excuse for a smart Android tv. WiFi was non existent for the tv and my phone. Could not use any apps such as netflix or disney+ on the tv due to it not connecting to the WiFi and not being able to update the Google play services. When you want to wind down and relax you expect the bare minimum which they claim they provide in terms of smart tv and WiFi all around the property however this clearly was not the case. The air con once turned on would not turn off no matter how hard we tried. It is a very dated air con system. They place does need work doing to it and that would only drive up the price of future bookings but it would be worth it.

Incredibly central and convenient location, spacious, and clean! Very communicative host.

The best part about this property was the location. It’s located right in the heart of Bellagio, close to all the shops and restaurants. Easily walkable to ferry terminals and bus stops. We felt safe and it was quiet. Only one air conditioner worked and the internet was spotty at times. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

A very generous sized apartment in a great location. Very easy to access, although it is on the top floor with only steps leading to it. Plenty of space, excellent sized bathroom & bonus was a spa bath. The loft bedroom was comfortable, but not a lot of space around the bed. Everything was supplied in the room (including every type of coffee maker you can think of!), although the glasses were a mixed and of different sizes. We were the only people staying in this building, so made it very quiet & unique. Only issue was the heating - there are 2 wall mounted split systems but when we tried to operate them for heating, only cold air came out, therefore we didn't use them. The room as a result was quite cool the whole time. Also, there were no instructions at all for operating any of the appliances. We tried contacting the hosts but received no response at all.
