Just Remodeled Studio in Colonial OSJ UNIQUE Location LOCAL experience

Very comfort room, next to the main tourist area of old town, quick response ob messages

There was no reception, we waited to towels for a while, at night kinnda loudy from the street

Great location in old San Juan. Not recommended if you are planning a quiet trip. The area is quite noisy at night. Unfortunately there was an issue with the water system which was noted on the inspection but only notified after our arrival. Water was boiling and we couldn’t have a proper shower in the whole stay (to the extend of having to mix it in buckets of cold water to be able to shower). Otherwise it was fine.

The apartment is a studio with kitchen and it is, by itself quite cute. The kitchen has all amenities needed for two persons for a few days stay. Coffee maker, toaster oven, fridge, microwave and electric plate. You can cook simple things and fix sandwiches. The bathroom has decent amenities (although a cupboard or chest of drawers would be nice). The bathroom is spacious as also the room. Air conditioning worked well. Hot water was okay. The management of the property is very organized, great at communication, provided clear instructions, and very responsive to any questions or concerns. I truly appreciated their efforts to facilitate all aspects of our stay. What I am saying about the apartment is not their fault. The apartment is just remodeled and super clean and very cute. The problem is that it is street facing and so very very noisy.

The location is in Old San Juan and while all rooms of the property may not be facing this issue, the apartment we had was right next to the street. A very busy( but cute) bar is at the corner of San Sebastián and San Justo (Aqui Se Puede) , and it was simply too loud and noisy throughout the night! People screaming or talking loudly right outside, vehicles playing loud music all hours of the night. It only got a little peaceful around 3 am. We noticed that some of the other apartments were recessed a little further inside or upstairs and might not have this problem …Apartment #1 on the ground floor street level and street facing is simply too exposed to the noise. Some serious sound proofing would go a long way. Or if you are the kind that can sleep through anything this is the place for you! The other issue: the bed mattress was too thin and gave us back issues. So between these two things we barely got any sleep for the 3-4 nights we were there. It got frustrating to be woken up multiple times in the night by shouting or loud music on the street, but I suppose we booked too late and had slim pickings!

Location to Old Town

A main window was broken and unable to close and lock. The noise from the street was terrible. Friday night party noise till 5:45am. There are a number of bars in that area. The noise from traffic and general noise from the pedestrians about 10 feet from the bed was absolutely terrible. The kitchen light above the kitchen counter never worked.
