Beautiful Apartment in a Great Location

BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT. Clean, excellent location, incredibly cozy - the owners know exactly how to create a wonderful stay. The lighting was perfect, it really made everything so cozy.

The only issue was the water leaking out of the shower all over the floor.

The owner forgot to tell us the hidden key location had changed. He/she is only available through Booking.com email; no phone, no personal email, no on-site representative. We were about to start looking into getting a hotel room when a helpful neighbor told us where the key was. Terrible street noise. Owner didn't know WIFI address/password. Owner didn't provide microwave as per contract. Only one key makes life difficult for a couple.

Location was very central and the apartment was lovely and quite spacious.

We had told the owner that we wouldn't be arriving until midnight and had been given instructions as to the location of the key box, which sounded quite clear. However, this proved to be incorrect as no matter how long we looked we could not locate it even though it was not particularly dark. We called the emergency number given but they couldn't help, they said they would have somebody come to us but after more than an hour no one had come or called us, so we rang back and were told the owners could not be contacted. (why bother with the emergency number if you are not willing to respond). At 2 AM we found a nearby hotel and had to pay 2250 Kroner to stay the night. The next morning, we still could not locate the key box and had not heard from the owners. A resident came out and said they didn't understand the instructions for the key box location but indicated that the body corporate didn't allow short term rentals?? I then called the number for the cleaner who was able to guide me to the location for the key box. This was 15-20mtrs away from the entrance on a chain wire fence backing onto the carpark. Instead of being helpful the owner responded to a message I put on booking.com insulting me by saying the instructions were clear and I should not have had any problem. We had friends meet us later that day and I asked them to read the instructions and see if they could locate the key box, they could not find it either. I feel, as a minimum, we should be refunded the amount we paid for the first night's rental cost.

Finding the keys was a difficult process! Could be improved, by posing some photos of the key box location..
