Windermere Cottage - Central Windermere

Lovely 1 bedroom cottage. Had everything we needed for our stay. Bed was comfortable. Nice furniture and design.

The WiFi was slow unfortunately. No hot water out of the kitchen sink, look into the boiler.

Excellent facilities, very clean, close to town centre.

Some logs and kindling for the fire would have been nice as it was dark and wet when we arrived

Complementary water and crisps was a nice touch. The apartment was in a really good location close to everything but on a side street. It was clean and comfortable.

WiFi is quite slow so if you’re planning on uploading or downloading anything plan ahead. Floors are cold so take slippers. The bathroom is a little dated but works fine. We had agreed a late check out and I made sure to check if it was still okay before we arrived but on the morning of the check out I got an email that we have to check out early 1100 instead of 1300 which is such bad practise and really ruined our experience at the end as we had to change all our plans since they were all based on being able to check out at 1300.

There was a mix up and the cottage was not cleaned before our arrival. That was fine, someone came to change linen etc but the shower was mouldy so its clear that is not cleaned regularly anyway - not just because it missed being cleaned before our stay.
