Socialist Experience in the City Center

Molto vicino al centro, spazioso e pulito, posto auto interno al cortile.

The location is convenient and the area feels pleasant.

Wouldn't recommend this place. No hot water in the bathroom or the kitchen, we had to shower and wash our hair with cold water, and the 4 of us came there with a friend who ran the Ljubljana marathon that weekend. The wifi was working only for a couple of hours before we left. When we complained about it to the owner, he just responded with "I'm sorry :(". The first night was also pretty cold because the central heating was off (don't know why it was just a little over 10 degrees Celsius that day) and there were extra heating devices only in two of the three rooms so I had to sleep in my clothes. There are no curtains in the room where I slept which previous guests had already mentioned, and the owner is aware of this issue. In addition, we noticed water leaking from the boiler yesterday morning, which made us feel unsafe. The only thing giving socialist experience vibes was the furniture, the rest of it was really dissapointing.

Appartement calme et très bien placé à seulement 10 min à pied du centre ville. Très spacieux et joliment décoré. Très bon compromis pour un repos en famille et la foule de vacanciers.

Manque quelques ustensiles pour la cuisine et un balai pour le quotidien

Quelques petits réglages pour un meilleur confort comme de nouveaux matelas et des stores pour la luminosité. Il y en a déjà actuellement mais pas à la bonne taille ou abîmé .

Very nice place to stay in Ljubjana. We really appreciated our stay there. The atmosphere and the theme of the apartment is clearly announced in the title and its really aligned with it. Each room is as well quite large so its really comfy to stay several day there.

Only thing to improve is to put at least in one bedroom bigger store so we can make the bedroom dark even in the afternoon if for example 1 baby or some child need to sleep there. But it was not a big deal.

- Good location - short walk to supermarket, 15min walk to centre / Park Tivoli - Very spacious / airy apartment with large rooms - Apartment was nice and clean - Lovely wooden floors - Very comfortable beds - Large kitchen / table - 'Socialist Experience' is a good idea, but more thought needs to given to decor / pictures etc. - Decent response from renters to address some of the issues raised.

- Information for key collection was incorrect. This was solved with a text message / phone call, but in the meantime our vehicle was sticking out into what was at that time a busy road. - Level of facilities was insufficient. There was no kettle (one supplied the next day, but we were advised to boil water water on the stove 'in the Socialist way'), wine glasses (supplied the next day), bread knife, colander, serving spoons. A microwave & toaster would have been useful, although this might not have been part of the 'Socialist Experience". - The internet stopped working on the first day. This was fixed on Day 2, but dropped out fairly frequently during the rest of our stay. - Toilet seat was broken, and potentially dangerous. This was replaced on Day 2. - Cooker dial markings on the old stove are worn away, so impossible to set oven, rings, other than trial and error. - The supplied gas lighter did not work. Lighters were supplied on Day 2. - Couch and chairs, while comfortable, are ripped and have a few holes from what looks like cigarette burns. - Net curtain in living room hanging off and unable to be closed. - We used the washing machine, and completely flooded the bathroom. The drain is not connected and was lying behind the machine. This needs to be placed in the bath before use, but there were no instructions to do this. The machine was also leaking badly from the filter, which had to be tightened. The practice of running the dirty washing machine water though the bath / shower is disgusting! - No hot water in the kitchen. There was an electric boiler under the sink, but this did not work. - All these items were reported to the renting team on Day 2. The property has the potential to be a great place, but needs quite a bit sorted out. If these were addressed, we would stay here again.
