MONday Apart Premium Kyoto Sta Kamogawa

The apartment was small but divided into two sections, living and sleeping. The size was typical Japanese compact but with all you could need for a short stay. Not storage so we used one of the two sofas to place out our clothing. Baskets in the bathroom were convenient for storage of our wash bags, etc. the bathroom was a good size. We used the two beds as one was too small for both of us to sleep together so the two beds were a bonus. The real advantage of the stay was the washer/dryer which we used daily. The location was an easy walk to the station and only two stops from Gion area. The Gion area is known for geishas, typical Japanese housing, big shops, restaurants and the Nishiti markets and is very popular. We also walked to the Kyoto station which was only a 10 minute walk approximately.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The place was extremely clean and in very close proximity to the train station.

Close to the main road so traffic noise was noticeable when it was bedtime.

Facilities, location and staff were great. The place was spacious with 2 kids and 2 adults. Was able to luggage transfer to next city with the hotel stagf

Zimmer waren schön eingerichtet und sauber. Das Bad und die Dusche waren sehr gut. Guter Wasserdruck. Die Waschmaschine hatte eine intergrierte Trocknung. Hat alles gut funktioniert. Die Küche war auch gut ausgestattet. Der Fön (Dyson) im Bad war ein highlight für meine Frau und Tochter ;).

Leider konnte man die Klimaanlagen nicht gut einstellen. Entweder war es zu kühl und man hat gefroren (selbst bei Einstellung auf 23 Grad) oder man musste es ausschalten, dann war es aber viel zu heiß im Zimmer. Wir waren im Sommer da. Auch ist die eine große Klimaanlage genau über einem Bett platziert gewesen, was es unmöglich gemacht hat dort zu schlafen da die kalte Luft einen direkt ins Gesicht geblasen kam. Auch gab es im Bad nicht genug Licht. Das Licht was hinter dem Spiegel angebracht war, war viel zu dunkel. Ich musste mich im Schatten rasieren da man sein Gesicht im Spiegel nicht gesehen. Das müsste man auf jeden Fall verbessern finde ich. Auch konnte man die Belüftung in der Toilette nicht ausschalten. Sie war Tag und Nacht an. Vor allem Nachts hat es sehr gestört. Es war zu laut.
