AUGreat location overviewing the city of York including the old castle fort and the York Minster, minutes walk to the Shambles. Linens were clean and comfy. All the necessary kitchen utensils included. 100m to Tesco Express for provisions. Plenty of breeze to cool down during warmer days. Onsite secure parking and reception service.
GBIt’s central location and the capability to park two cars if needed (we had one car). We were on the 7th floor with amazing views of the city.
The property was amazing just a few points to note. All bathroom mirrors were above the toilets rather than the sinks. This made shaving off, so to speak. The vanity mirrors are above drawer units and no convenient to dry your hair. These didn’t deter the 5* rating and would stay aging fur sure.

The heating is controlled remotely. First 4 days heat wasn’t working in the living room at all. Maintenance swapped out the control and it worked. Unfortunately when you turn the heat up it is remotely set to lower back down to a much cooler temp. Shame we all had to sit in the living room together with our coats on and the oven on. Also only one TV. None in the bedrooms.
GBGBLOCATION WAS PERFECT. VIEWS FROM APARTMENT WERE EXCELLENT WITH THE YORK CASTLE, MUSEUM AND YORKMINSTER LOOKING FANTASTIC LIT AT NIGHT. LITERALLY 5MINS FROM CENTRE OF YORK , THE SHAMBLES ETC. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT TO ANYONE WITH PARKING SECURE AND EASY TO GET TO DESPITE THIS BEING A BUSY CITY.
FEW MINOR PROBLEMS. SMALL LEAK IN BATHROOM OF SECOND BEDROOM AS SHOWER DOOR SEAL NEEDS REPLACING. ONE OF THE VIEWING WINDOW DOORS NEEDS FIXING. FOR THE PRICE LACK OF SHOWER GEL AND SHAMPOO ARE PROVIDED IN EVEN THE CHEAPEST HOTELS BUT NOT HERE AND THE DIFFUSER SCENT IN THE HALL NEEDS REFILLING. BIGGEST COMPLAINT THE CHECK IN AT 4PM NEEDS TO BE IN LINE WITH EVERYONE ELSE AT 2PM. PAYING FOR A DAY OF USE YOU CANNOT ACCESS.
