Recreatiepark de Wielerbaan

Leider in Englisch. The park is very secluded and the nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes drive away. There is a small bar-type restaurant, that has very limited opening hours. This means that you need to bring provisions with you. The bungalow itself was in my opinion very good. It was large enough, the furnishings were good quality, the toilet/shower was fine, there was a large fridge, and very good cooking facilities, and sufficient storage areas. WLAN was easy to set up and my overall experience was very pleasant indeed. During the limited opening hours of the reception, the personnel are very friendly and helpful.

Be warned.... You are required to pay a safety deposit, and inform the facility if you arrive after 17:00. What is NOT clear, despite a flood of emails is that the reception actually closes at 17:00, so if you intend to arrive after this time and pay the deposit in cash, you are out of luck! You are requested simply to inform them if you intend to arrive after 17:00, which we only knew because of heavy traffic. We were told that as we hadn't paid the deposit IN ADVANCE, and as the reception would be closed, a key would not be left for us to collect from a hidden location. So we were forced during the drive to find someone who could make a blitz online payment! The flood of emails told us that a deposit was needed, it told us that we must inform them if we planned to arrive after 17:00. It was NOT clear that they closed at 17:00, and could therefore not pay the deposit in cas upon arrival.

The location is near to Wageningen University (WUR) so several customers were there for working or studying. I was in a professional trip to participate in a congress at WUR. Unfortunately TopParken refused to provide me an invoice. This is quite annoying since to be refunded by my company I need to provide an invoice, which is done at all other hotels or campings or whatever other establishment that I could stay in my 15years of career. Topparken is not helpful, impossible to deal by phone or email. "Thank you blablabla but we cannot provide you an invoice, ask Booking". If you are travelling for work, just avoid this place.

Great location, a few minutes from Wageningen central, we loved the countryside feeling. We could jog in the park in the morning, it was quiet and very pleasant

We returned to the location for the 4th time and knew what to expect. Small holiday houses / shalets with modern interior and complete kitchenware. Small rooms with a little too soft beds. Good heating and simple to clean floors and bathroom. Enough space to sit and watch tv with 5 people. With smaller kids great because of the safe and spacious area for the to wander and bike on the camping grounds. Playground and pool are also a great asset with smaller kids. Forest right on your doorstep and 10 minutes by bicycle to most shops. Plenty pubs in Wageningen and a variety of fairly cheap restaurants. We will be back. Appreciate the good laundry facilities.

Beds should be a bit firmer. For example offer to add a bed plate (hard board) under the mattress to make it more firm. Low cost and effective. I just bought it myself for less than 20 euros and added it.

The lady called Teres made us welcome and did us wonderful breakfasts.
