We had apartment 3 which is on the top floor. It has a nice kitchen/dining area/lounge, a small hall for your bag and coat, a snug double bedroom with nicely finished en-suite bathroom. Entry to the block is via a locked door into the street and the units are nice and secure once you are inside. Apartment 3 has sloping ceilings in all the rooms which gives it extra character. Everything worked properly and was nice and clean. There is a bird’s eye view down the street from the dining area. The apartment is right in the middle of the student part of town and very close to several mini stores like Sainsbury’s, (which was open till late). We got our breakage deposit back 3 days after the stay, as promised.

The property management require a breakage deposit, which is fair enough. It was quite a palaver paying this and it took a couple of goes with the payment software and some communication with the manager before I got it sorted. If you stay here you will find that you have to do it twice. The first time if, you read the small print, you will see that you are paying 0.00p. The second time (small print again) you will pay £100. This did seem a bit clunky. We did get our deposit back 3 days after the stay, as promised. The sloping ceilings are fun but my wife and I are both less than 5’8” tall. If you are tall (6’?) you might find the sloping ceilings less enjoyable.

Clean and tidy. Secure.

The bed was a little small. I’m above average height but not a giant. My feet were resting on metal beyond the mattress. Not as comfortable as it needs to be so that I would return without hesitation.

Well equipped and nicely presented. Location good. About 20 mins walk into centre.

The bathroom sink is too small. I really struggled to have a shave in it. Had to have my head pressed against the wall. Parking was very difficult. Took about 30 mins to find a space about 300 yards away. We were a bit worried about how secure the vehicle was as the area looked a bit dodgy but no damage was done. There are 3 flights of steep stairs up to the apartment. Not a problem for us but maybe so for guests who are less mobile.

Lovely location, very quiet and clean. Very well stocked.

Once or twice no hot water in the shower, but a very minor gripe!

Instruction to obtain the key without any hassle.

There isn't any lift provided - so you need to climb up to the top floor, not advisable for senior and with big and heavy bags. One set of key only - quite annoying to run up and down to open door as remote button from apartment did not seem to work. Bathroom basin very tiny and without towel hanger/hood - no practical at all. Kitchenware / utensils esp the frying pan are in bad [wore out] condition.

Timely communication and response to queries. Not too far from the city centre with excellent restaurants nearby
