Comfy room - InnerZen Mekong Riverside homestay Ben Tre

I’ve wanted to stay at this hidden gem ever since I first spotted it—and I’m so glad I did! The place is clean, cozy, and super comfy. The river right in front of the house was the perfect spot to relax and let my mind wander. The staff were all incredibly friendly and sweet. I’d come back in a heartbeat!!

This place is truly special, the kind of stay that gently resets your nervous system and reminds you what travel can feel like when it’s rooted in care. Linh is an absolute gem, and you can feel how much love she and the team have poured into every detail of this homestay. In the common space, there’s a book that tells story of the homestay, it shows Linh’s original room sketches, photos of the construction process, her husband and neighbors helping build it by hand, and the team they created to run the kitchen and care for the space. Seeing that process made the stay feel deeply human and intentional. After traveling for a month through Southeast Asia, often in busy, loud, and polluted cities, staying here in Ben Tre was the calm, relaxing reset we needed. The food is incredible, the staff are extremely kind, and the energy of the place feels grounded and nurturing. We also loved all the cats lounging around. They also have a tour company, so we went on a peaceful boat ride that launched directly from the homestay and floated down the Mekong River. It was quiet, beautiful, and very relaxing. Many places call themselves “homestays,” but this is a true, family run homestay in every sense. We’re so grateful for our time here and absolutely plan to return the next time we’re in Ben Tre.

Great location. Loved the boat trip and walking around the little pathways. Excellent food. Very well decorated, quality place.

I'm sure there is a master plan, but there seem to be several co-existing buildings, plus some construction. The veranda is a more communal than private space. Beanbag chairs removed during the daytime for use on the boat. Currently seems quite expensive for facilities, although probably worth it if/ when project completed.

The Innerzen Homestay is one of the best accommodations on our entire Vietnam trip. The accommodation is located on a tributary of the Mekong in the middle of coconut palms. There is no mass tourism here. The food is delicious and the free bicycles offer additional comfort. The hosts are absolutely fantastic people, we thank you very much for this wonderful time! To anyone who is thinking of booking here, we say: don't hesitate, the Innerzen Homestay is worth the trip!

Linh is very sweet and and very helpful as the owner

The price is way too expensive for what the room comes with, plus property needs to be a little revised along with none of the plugs work so impossible to charge a phone if you are 2 persons, too many « rules » and completely dependent of the owner-linh way (time of dinner, access to gate)

Comfy Riverside offers more than just accommodation. Be sure to spend at least 2 nights and arrange with ,the zigzagers‘ an authentic tour in the Ben Tre region with Sailboat, Scooter and visit local trades in an untouristy way. Gorgeous dinner & bbq at the river… for sure our highlight during the whole Vietnam holidays.
