Great location, easy access, nice facilities, lots of space.

Sound insulation was not great but this is expected given that the building is old. It was not a real problem. There was quite some delay in the communication with the host. We asked if there was a possibility to delay the check out by an hour. The hosts replied that they would check if this was possible (3 minutes before the original deadline) and they confirmed (thanks) but only after the checkout deadline had passed, when we had already rushed ourselves out of the property. Other than that, everything was smooth.

"A vertical mansion"

It's a vertical mansion, four floors of gorgeous and clean and well appointed. You have to be ok with stairs. The location is excellent, a short bus ride or 20 minute walk from the Edinburgh Castle. Lots of terrific food and shops all around the house.

"Over priced and dangerous"

Beautiful home but needs money spent on it. It she safe at all for children and tbh I’ve serious concerns about the safety of people staying there.

The roof was leaking which mean we could only use 3/4 of the bedrooms. The floor and bedding were wet and I was concerned the ceiling was going to come in. I contacted company but nobody came to check it out. The rails on the stairs are dangerous. They are very loose and the stairs are slippery. Some of the sash windows didn’t lock properly, which is another hazard for children.
